Having some fun with dragon art. I’m at 50K on Night of the Vampire! I made my goal! Woohoo! I keep thinking about the final battle scene or however this ends. I’m not sure. I just need to finish it.

Today is gingerbread house day. My granddaughter and I make a gingerbread house every year, but this year’s looks like it suffered an earthquake. We use the precut gingerbread houses, but this one, the walls were sooooooo thick, that they wouldn’t stick together, the icing so difficult to squeeze out that we had a royal mess.
Did we have fun? Yep! And that’s the key! If I have a chance, I’ll take a picture and show them off tomorrow. But today, we’re going to the school district’s gingerbread house party where all the school kitchens create their own houses according to some theme.
I’m off to get ready for my grandson’s arrival. If I can, I should reach 50K on vampire today, which was my goal. Woohoo! But I still have to finish it so it will be longer.

I can’t believe I haven’t blogged in a couple of days. Things are so hectic here. After getting the drywall fixed, I got caulk for the bathroom shower and fixed a crack before water gets into the drywall in there and I am getting some super glue for putting a baseboard in place. It’s been sitting in my closet for ages. The nails won’t hold it so every time I vacuumed, it would come off. So I was reading how to fix it with glue and hope that works. And I brought in another outdoor decoration to paint. It’s a yellow bird on a faucet. I think I might make it a bluebird. The bird had faded so much, and it was never really that pretty in the beginning, so it will be fun to repaint.
I’ve been working on a cover for Night of the Vampire. I have one that someone made, but I never liked the characters on the cover. She looks too old, he looks too young and not as appealing as an intriguing teen vampire. So I’ve been playing around with that, getting ready for Christmas, etc.
So I didn’t get but 1500 words written on Night of the Vampire yesterday. Isn’t that crazy? I didn’t make it to my goal of 2000 words, so I was bummed about it. lol Today I’ll have to get 2500.

With rain in the forecast for Thursday and the weekend, I’m glad to get this done!
Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice.
I created the girls in Midjourney, but had to add a couple of boys too. And the wolf and the bunny and the cat. The foreground and the background is a real snow photo. Trees and wolf from Lynne Anzelc’s Elfin Magic elements.
Roofers are here. Woohoo! Plumber should be here in a few hours and then the heat repair guys tomorrow. It’s 65 in the house, a wee bit chilly. Hopefully, they’ll get the plumbing fixed and replace the wallboard that is mildewed.
I’m working on Night of the Vampire! 🙂 <3 I’m halfway done.

My grandson is here and we took a walk to the mailbox in the cold and saw all the neighbors’ decorations. I can’t put mine out until they redo the roof tomorrow. He’s having a ball telling me about all the snowmen I have in the house. It’s like a mini-wonderland to him. This age is so fun.
We are off and running.

I’m off to finish proofing Wolf on the Prowl! Woohoo!!! Can’t wait to finish it and get started on some other book projects. Though….I will probably try to play a little Baldur’s Gate 3 where I got stuck on the game in a couple of tough battles. lol If I have time.

I’m used to picking up my granddaughter after school every weekday so when she has a break, it throws me off. She helped me take down all the Fall decorations after the feast, and then we played games as a family and then my granddaughter and I started decorating for Christmas. But she’s sacked out on the couch this morning watching cartoons, and I’m getting ready to work on proofing Alpha Need Not Apply.
We’ll do some more decorating later.
I have 3 whole days to work on Alpha before it’s back to grandkids duty, and so I need to make the most of it, get this done, and turn it in and reread Wolf on the Prowl one last time next week.
Soooo, I’m thrilled I still have a few days to work on the stories so I can get this done. And then? It’s off to finish some other books that are in the line up.

It’s fun creating a picture with action and letting the viewer use their imagination to decide what’s happening!
The baby and the griffin are playing chase and he reached his safe place. The griffin thinks one of her babies got away. The baby is having a nightmare. Stranger danger. The list goes on. What comes to mind when you see the picture?
We had another 2″ of rain. We’d had a prediction of NO rain for the next 10 days, so it was greatly welcome!
Managed to get my 2,000 words yesterday on Wolf on the Prowl. At 21K, still a long ways to go, but getting there. And finished the MacLeod Bear.
