I was headed for the birding blind when I saw the deer in the tall grass. Almost missed them. This was in Brenham, Texas.
Still coughing most of the night. Tried every trick in the book. I managed to get 2 hours of sleep, then start coughing again. And of course the dogs wanted out at 6. I tried to ignore them because I had finally stopped coughing, but it didn’t work. And of course as soon as I tried to lie down, I was coughing again and gave up on it.
I managed to get 1,000 words yesterday. I was editing last night, wondering what I was going to write to make the next 4,000 words. The book is pretty much done. A subplot that I would have to thread through the story? Maybe. I had one idea that I will add, but it will only be probably a few sentences. It would be funny and add a little more conflict. Whatever I come up with, it has to add character development–not be filler.
I’m off to work.
Have a great one!

I took the photo of the fawn at the Omaha wildlife reserved. I loved it when my son and daughter-in-law lived out there so I could visit the reserve. It was a lot of fun to see all the animals.
I turned in the marketing materials and Wolf on the Prowl and now I’m off to work on Night of the Vampire some more.
Have some wintry fun! It is going to be 77 for us today and tomorrow. Weather is up and down.

Photo I took of a fawn at the wildlife reserve in Omaha and then artified.
I’m at 56K on Bear in Mind. Inching along. Had a couple of scenes in mind this morning before I got up, so need to write them down. I want to put my bark mulch down and then get more when I can.
And I’m work on the last two bears. I have a new fur coming in today, so will try and cut them out also.
Off to work! We have my granddaughter’s investiture to go to for Girl Scouts this afternoon, so lots to do before then.
The composite is made of a cemetery in Edinburgh–beautiful angel statue, the dog gravestones, Edinburgh Castle, a Texas moon. The fog and wolf were overlays.
Deer reflected in the water where there was none.
Time for grandbaby to come over. Which means no writing. I have kept up and I’m only 16,000 words from word count. Though a long way from finishing the story. Off to get ready!!
Have a lovely day!
