Writing Day…but…

Gulf Fritillary Butterfly on Zinnia

I don’t know what to write!

I love it when I can run with ideas, not so much when I’m not sure where to go with the story. I’m still editing, watching four little cardinal babies eating seeds, two blue jays flying back and forth, a darling little wren hopping about, and a red-bellied woodpecker sliding up a tree.

Ah-ha! You say. I’m distracted. But no…just don’t know where to go with the story. That’s the problem with having to stop and do edits on two other books. I’m over halfway done and it’s the slide down the other side to the end. Woohoo! But I have a lot of mysteries to unravel and so I need to brainstorm a lot.

We’ve got another scorcher. Huge thunderheads last night, but nothing came of it. Unfortunately.

No matter what, I’m GOING to write. I’m determined. And it will be a great day. No baby to distract or other errands to run. Just writing. And birds, galore. Awwww.

Okay, okay, I went out and cut a rosebush way down that was growing out of control, and I took pictures of the birds. Now…it’s time to write.

Have a delightful day.
