Do you ever feel like this? When I was a little girl, we were in the woods in Florida on a trip and some butterflies scared my sister and me. My dad was so annoyed with us. lol Just for your information, I make butterfly habitats for them and try to teach my granddaughter not to be scared by them or dragonflies. They just startle her sometimes. Otherwise she loves them.
I made it to 31K last night on Warrior Elf. Woohoo!
My granddaughter had her fun run to help renovate their library. She managed 24 of 30 laps and both her daddy and I got to cheer her on, so that was neat. So proud of her. And my daughter and I watched a Halloween story, ladies’ night out, and had pizza and champagne, which was really nice too. We truly enjoyed it. We hadn’t done that in a year or more.
I made 1,000 words yesterday, not enough time to do more, but I’m up to 28K, so that’s great! Hope to be up to 32K by the end of the weekend.

I’m excited to say I’m on Chapter 20 of 30 chapters of proofing for Roxie’s story. I hope to have it done today. After 2″ of rain yesterday, we had cooler temps today and I’ll walk to the elementary school to have lunch with my granddaughter. When I asked her after school the day before which day she wanted me to come, she said, “Tomorrow!” She didn’t want something to happen so I couldn’t make it over there this week. 🙂
Then I have to pick her up at school 2 1/2 hours later. So I’m hoping I’ll have time to get the rest of the proofing done. Yay!
Okay, so off to work! Have a super fun whimsical day!
I’ve been so busy with Roxie’s story, I haven’t had time to create more Halloween pictures for the month. And then the bewitching month will be gone and what will I be left with? Wolf shifters. Bear shifters. Cougar shifters. The fae. Vampires.
With writing books, I’m always looking ahead. Big Cat Magic is a Halloween story. I just finished writing the Highland Wolf Christmas story. Not sure on Roxie’s story, but it will be set during some season next year. So it helps me to get in the mood by creating arts that evoke more of that time frame. Besides, I want to enjoy seeing something other than heat and more heat!
I was watching a story where they were having a terrifically wild thunderstorm, and enjoying it, while checking on our own weather report where it said we might get some storms. I captured pictures of the huge thunderheads, heard the thunder, but alas, NO RAIN.
I managed to get about 160 more pages proofed on Highland Wolf. I have about 90 left to proof. Little one is here, so I might not get much done today, but hope to get the rest done on Tuesday. Then it’s back to Big Cat Magic and trying to finish that up.

Trick-or-Treating tonight. I think it’s going to be chilly. We carved pumpkins, I painted mine, I’ll have to show them off tomorrow. I haven’t downloaded the pictures yet. Slow start to my day trying to create this picture!
Going to a preschool trunk party trick-or-treating tonight. I’m so glad I live close to my kids so we can do this together. So we’re dressing up as trolls and some of the parents are putting out the treats everyone brought for the event and decorating their vehicles. Little one is here for the day so we’re going to go to the grocery store in a little while and get the ingredients for Monster Tacos for Sunday’s Halloween meal. We always do something fun for Halloween.
I always have to dress my dogs for Halloween, just for fun too. They’re so good-natured.
It’s actually chilly today and will be tonight so we’ll have to bundle up a bit. I’m glad!

And haven’t gotten anything done. I was playing around with Oscrap challenges, chasing rats, weeding, painting some more of the scarecrow’s face, but haven’t begun on the story yet.
I couldn’t sleep this morning, and was thinking of the new one I want to write. So I wrote a little of it when I should have been sleeping.
Barely got my word count yesterday on Angle Fae. I had a ton of stuff to do. I’ve still been painting the scarecrow’s face and I just messed it up so badly this morning when I went to add some tea staining around the eyes and ended up getting the freshly painted new black on one eye dragged where it shouldn’t have been. ugh. I told you. It could look great until I messed with the face, and it was looking pretty good–until then. *sigh*
Okay, I’m off to try and get more writing done. I’ll be doing some yard work too. It’s 60 this morning, yay!
