Okay, off to work on proofing Bear of a Halloween! My beta readers both sent their edits, and now, woohoo, it’s nearly done! Thanks, ladies!

Farmer’s Insurance agent is coming today to look at my roof. You know, you never know when an insurance agency is good until you need them! So we’ll see. Texas Farm Bureau and Oklahoma Farm Bureau were wonderful when I had acreage, but I couldn’t have them for a home in the suburbs or I would have stayed with them forever.

Happy Friday the 13th!

I’m back to writing on Wolf on the Prowl. I am nearly 3/4ths of the way done on word count. Have to take Max to the vet for his annual shots in just a few minutes. And then it’s back to the story!

A ring of fire solar eclipse will be seen on Saturday so we’re going to try and see it.

Wizard Baby

I had to take Tanner in for his teeth cleaning. I hate to because every time I do, he needs more teeth pulled. I’ve never had a dog that has had to have teeth removed. I’ll know the verdict later today.

Anyway, I’m here with the baby today, trying to find Halloween shows for him to watch. Spookily the Square Pumpkin is a hit. My grandson is “no, no, no” to everything this morning, except for our walk and he always wants to take that, and then he saw the cute little bats talking to each other and that was it. He was hooked. I want to play Room on the Broom for him. It’s one of my favorites. lol

Okay, so I’m off to work. I managed to get to 25K yesterday! Yay! Hope to have 30K by Thursday on Wolf on the Prowl.

It was cooler this morning, hooray! But it will be in the mid 90s all week and into next week. I hope this doesn’t continue through October!

Little Boy and His Basset Hound

We don’t get pretty fall days like this normally. Though one year, one of my trees was the most gorgeous yellow and I thought, how did that happen and I had never noticed it do that before? Because the rain has to be just right and it had been dry every year before that.

Okay, we’re off to run errands, ship a bear, get some groceries. It’s my special time with my grandson. We use the special fire engine car to ride in. We already had our stroller walk.

I will be the Queen of Hearts, Baby is the White Rabbit, Granddaughter Alice in Wonderland, Daughter the Cheshire Cat, Son-in-Law the Mad Hatter for trick or treating tonight. lol We’ll be going to an Escape Room Alice in Wonderland themed outdoor adventure on Saturday with a friend–not sure what she’s wearing yet!

Today is a Story Book parade at the school this morning, so I need to walk over there soon.

Kitten in a Cupcake Container

I worked on edits on Roxie’s story yesterday. I need to finish those up today, then just waiting on one more beta reader’s edits and I’ll finish it up. I also managed to get to 43K yesterday on Warrior’s Elf. I kind of have an idea for the ending, so worked a little on that.

The paint I used on my pumpkin didn’t work out. lol So it looks like a 3 year old painted it. But that’s okay. I never said I could paint. 🙂 My son-in-law on the other hand did a great job on his. I ran home and got the other paints and they worked. And my granddaughter played on my pumpkin too, then painted a couple of more pumpkins of her own. Of course I had to play with my little grandson too. My daughter did some great carvings on pumpkins too. So fun was had by all! Oh, and we sort of watched Hocus Pocus 2. We were so busy that I will have to watch it again without all the interruptions.

Today is a writing day. No goofing off. Tomorrow is another broken up day. In the morning, I have to go to see my granddaughter in a storybook parade, pick her up in the afternoon, and trick or treat with the family in the evening.

Why Are You Looking at Me Like I Did Something…Wrong?

That will be me on Saturday–painting a pumpkin. I did one last year instead of carving it and I loved it. It was so much fun and the pumpkin lasted forever! Here in our heat, they just melt into goo before you know it when you carve into one. This is my son’s cat. She is the sweetest baby and the alpha. If his dog was on my lap, she’d push her off and replace her.

We got in late last night on the trunk or treat. It was a lot of fun. Today it’s supposed to rain all day. This has been the driest year so far. Saturday we’re carving, or painting, pumpkins and having lunch.

The rest of the time I have to write or edit. 🙂

Yawning or Growling?

That is the question!

I’m up to 38k and am shooting for 40k today on Warrior Elf. I need to have lunch with my granddaughter. I believe it’s going to be warmer again today. Yesterday was really nice, but strong winds had blown a branch off a neighbor’s tree and into my shrubs. I’m hoping the garbage men will take it away. 🙂

I’m off to work and then walk to her school, home again, work a couple of hours and back to her school. Have a lovely day!
