In Legend of the White Wolf, I have Bigfoot hunters, and so in the latest red wolf Christmas story, I’ve gone back to the hunters.
I’m off to work on Angel Fae. I have 32K and want at least 55K on it. I had some ideas floating in my head when I woke in the middle of the night, but the problem with that is they just…float away.
I’ve been weeding the backyard like crazy. My daughter wants a crepe myrtle, and a couple of esperanzas and I’m going to see if I can find some baby ferns. They’re going to weed this weekend, so I’ll go out and dig up volunteers that I can find. I’m not sure on the ferns, but I do have some baby esperanzas and crepe myrtles.
One year, before little ones came on the scene, my daughter and I went to the zoo for Halloween, and the small cats and large, all had pumpkins to chew on. So much fun. This one is a clouded leopard and she looks very…possessive!
I created the Halloween video to showcase my 3 years of Halloween stories: The Witch and the Jaguar, Cougar Halloween Mischief, and Saving the White Cougar. I also included some Halloween composites I’ve created for Halloween! Next year, I intend to write a wolf Halloween story, and the next year? The bears’!
Little one will be here soon, so trying to get a few things done before she is! Hope you all have a great day. It was thundering this morning, and raining a little, though it wasn’t supposed to! But I always welcome the rain, and it’s been so hot, maybe it will cool things down a bit!
Decided to have some fun with Halloween picture creations before Halloween is over since I write paranormal and I don’t want the chance to slip away! It doesn’t mean I won’t make them afterwards either. Halloween is any time of year!
I sent my wolves out this morning at five to chase off the rats, but the rats haven’t returned. I guess that will work for a little while, anyway! But I’m sure they’ll be back–like Arnold would say.
I usually listen to another youtube music video if I need some music. I’m writing about the fae, Angel Fae, this time, and I saw this picture when I was trying to help a fellow Photoshop user with how to create clipping masks and sent her some tutorial links. But this caught my eye and I and wanted to see what the music sounded like. Perfect so far! Dramatic, otherworldly. So I’m editing before I begin typing notes I wrote last night. It’s so much more fun when I can listen to music that makes me feel as though I’m in their world….
Okay, I’m off to work. Halfway done on Angel Fae.
It’s been hot in the mornings even, but once it’s light out, I’ll try and get some more weeding done. Have a super fun day and let the music carry you away!
For my print fans, I’ve just ordered the print book cover copy, so should have that before the release on November 30th.
I was playing with a flat black cat image and pumpkin, adding a little texture for fun.
So I was working away on proofing Dawn of the Jaguar one last time, but I had an idea for Angel Fae. No time to write it down what with little one being here overnight. I also wrote the last Jingle Bell Wolf promo blog and turned it in. And of course I have forgotten the story idea for Angel Fae. *sigh* It’s hard concentrating on a story when I have so many other things to do. lol
I copyrighted both Dawn of the Jaguar and A United Shifter Force Christmas. And I was rethinking my World of Fae map. I did update The Dark Fae with the map and a new title page. At least I finally figured out how to do the title page in Vellum. But the problem was that Vellum had different size requirements for the map page from what was posted online. So I’m now trying to redo the map again and see if I can make it fit better without stretching it.
And that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
Have a great day! I need to keep working! Maybe the story idea I had for Angel Fae will miraculously come to me too.
I’m off to write before little one lands in on me!
Be safe this Halloween! My neighbors already have their Halloween music going. They’re so much fun. I set out a table for treats, but I’ll put the treats out later. At least it’s nice weather, cold this morning, but will get to 74, perfect weather. No rain, not so hot all the chocolate will melt!
When I was a kid, I loved houses where they gave chocolate! I’m a chocoholic. So all that other stuff I never bothered with. I always get chocolate for the kids. It has a mixture, so Skittles too, but mainly CHOCOLATE. I love apples, apples were expensive back when I was growing up, and pennies were always great! I suspect kids today don’t even know what pennies are!
I’ve seen some more ants, but it’s in the 1-3 ants numbers instead of massive trails of 4 or 5 in a row of a hundred or so. They’re really tiny, but massed together, they were really noticeable. So the ant poison is working!
I’m off to write! I have 32K, and had scheduled to 32K today, so I still intend to write 2,000 if I can think of more story!
My daughter adores Alice in Wonderland–but it’s hard to find Alice stuff that isn’t Disney. When I can, I try to get it for her. She talked her daughter into being Alice in Wonderland for Halloween this year. Because my daughter loves the story so much, I have always gotten my granddaughter Alice outfits over the years and taken photos of her. I’m working on a composite of her for the one this year, if I can ever get it done.
I’ve moved on to the next practice image in the art class and I’ve got to get word count, wish I knew where I was going with the story. When I have an idea, I can really write. So far I’m a 1,000 words ahead, and hope I don’t get 1,000 words behind tomorrow what with Halloween. lol I will be taking care of little one for 3 hours, then we’ll go over to mom and dad’s house to trick-or-treat in the house and have dinner and watch a movie.
Also, I know another book is coming to me for edits soon and that will throw off my schedule. I should be at 31K today.
And the ant killer looks to have worked. I had a thick trail of tiny sugar ants hauling the poison back to the nest for two days. I had bought it on Tuesday morning and set it out about 10 a.m. The line of ants had thinned out quite a bit for the third day, yesterday evening. I kept thinking: it’s working! It’s not working! Because there was still a trail of ants.
The fourth day, this morning, I checked and there are no ants. Not one. So fingers crossed, it worked! But I will keep checking throughout the day.
It’s cold and rainy today–feels like 46, yay!!! High is only 55 for today. The rain is probably from the hurricane in the Gulf. It doesn’t look like we’re going to get anything much more from it. Fingers crossed.
Little one will be here shortly. I managed to catch up on my word count yesterday. I can’t “see” the dark hair of the girl on my monitor at all, which is why I’m having such a time with seeing that the pixels aren’t painted. The reviewer said to use levels to brighten it, but you have to turn it off, paint, turn it on to see the mixed pixels, turn it off, paint. So there’s a calibration tool, she recommended. I need to ask my son-in-law about it first.
All right, so I’m off to do edits before little one gets here. I’m trying to teach her to pronounce the “sn” sounds. She drops the “s” on snake, snacks, squirrel even. And I’m trying to teach her to trace dash and dotted lines without “falling into the lava,” a TV show we watched and so she’s getting much better at it. Also, to color within lines. It helps for eye-hand coordination. She knows all her colors, letters, numbers. Now it’s learning words and some counting and writing.
Going over to the kids for pumpkin carving for lunch and it turned cold–for us! It feels wonderful! I’m going to walk to their place and back!
I will have to show off our pumpkins later. Taking camera!
Okay, got to run because I’ve been trying to do some problem photos earlier for oil painting class and they’re not working. So off to work on the story.
Practice Makes Progress. What do I know about anatomy? Remember? Not even able to draw stick figures? Laughing.
These are my 3 Halloween novellas I have out, so I have a video of that. Looks like I need a bear and a wolf one. So next year, it will be a wolf.
Seduced by the Wolf is coming out next week!
So for Halloween with a 3 year old this year, we’re being as safe as we can. We’ll put candy out for the kids going trick-or-treating, but we’re going to decorate rooms for her in her parents’ house, and I’m going to take care of her for a couple of hours while they do that. I told my daughter she has to have her stick her hand in stuff and try to guess what it is. She’s at the age where I hope she has fun with it.
We always have fun, watch a Halloween movie, have mummy dogs or something, and last year was our first year to trick or treat with her. We were all the Baby Shark family. How things change.
I was feeling frustrated with the painting of bodyless women so I went ahead and painted this photo I had taken at the arboretum in Waco, Texas, Photoshop painted the wall and fountain pots and turned it into photo art with texture from Daily Texture.
Okay, I’m off to finish this problem portrait once again and hopefully get it more right this time. It won’t be perfect, but this is my first portrait drawing of so much of the hair and creating a torso, sooooo…..it’s a learning experience.
Then I’m back to Cougar Christmas Calamity. I’m up to 11K. Only 2K behind after all the work on getting Catch the Cougar out. Hope to catch up in the next two days, which means writing 3,000 words a day. I’m in the middle of a blizzard right now–in the story, of course. Texas? Ha! We’re still getting to 88+ degrees. Yesterday, we had a heat index of 91. But I saw where the north is going to be getting bad winter weather.
Have a great day, and remember, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. That’s where I’m at on this photo. lol
I created the graphic from Daily Textures, Jane Eden’s White Creatures (cat), Everlasting Story–Halloween pumpkin and frame. The picture of the white pumpkin I took at Hobby Lobby.
Review:Joy to the Wolves by Terry Spear was one irresistible read.
The story was cozy and action-packed. This book started off as the first book in a new wolf series, The Red Wolves. It held the same amount of suspense, action-packed pages, and sexy scenes. The heat between the main two characters was fun to follow. Their first meeting is one where the hero is annoying yet hot as hell and the heroine disliking his accusing tones but still found him sexy. Both feel the instant attraction.
I loved how complicated the plot was and how interesting every character big and small were. Once again, I found myself falling hard for Terry Spear’s contemporary paranormal romance book. She is definitely one talented writer.
As Christmas approaches, red wolf shifter Brooke Cerise unexpectedly inherits an antique shop in Portland, Oregon. But when a missing reindeer calf turns up on her property, she becomes embroiled in a kidnapping case and the primary suspect of far-too-intriguing shifter Detective Josh Wilding.
Josh doesn’t intend to fall for the mysterious new woman in town, but Brooke gets under his skin from the moment they meet, and he can’t help his instinct to protect her. These red wolves are both on the hunt for love, but there’s a mystery to solve before they can enjoy their holiday happy-ever-after.
Spend every Christmas with an unforgettable shifter hero

READING CAFE Review, loved this too!!! Thanks, Sandy!
REVIEW:JOY TO THE WOLVES is the first installment in Terry Spear’s contemporary, adult RED WOLF paranormal, romantic suspense series focusing on the Red Wolf pack in Portland, Oregon. This is Detective Josh Wilding, and antiquities dealer Brooke Cerise’ s story line.
Told from third person perspective JOY TO THE WOLVES is a Christmas themed story line that follows red wolf shifter and antiquities dealer Brooke Cerise. I’m off to walk and mail a payment for a bill. And I made a list of some of the things I need to do because they’re keeping me awake in the night: Get passport renewed just in case I can ever travel again. Flu shot. I haven’t taken one since I got so sick on it a hundred years ago while I was in the army. Get more light bulbs. I have lights under my kitchen counter, love them. But what a job to remove the covers. So I need to go to ACE Hardware and pick up light bulbs. One went out on me the year after I moved here. Three went out on me yesterday. There are two others, but smaller size. Maybe they’ll last longer. But it’s amazing how dark the kitchen is without the lights now. And the list goes on.
I had to pick up some replacement parts to upgrade my computer, so my SIL is going to put those in next weekend. Hopefully it will all get here by then. I seriously need an upgrade. My Photoshop keeps crashing, sometimes hanging up my whole computer and I have to pull the plug on my computer.
And I’m off to walk before it gets too hot. It’s supposed to be 94 today! Then tomorrow, last look, it was supposed to start cooling down.
I did get started on Cougar Christmas Calamity–first 2,000. Shooting for 2,000 daily, except for days I have little one. And another little one is on its way next spring. I’ve been able to get a little done while she’s here because she’s getting older. But with a new baby, ohmigosh, that will be interesting. lol
