Garlic Onions in the Garden!

I planted them, then we had the freeze, but they are doing great! A friend sent them, so I’m excited about them making it. I had them sitting on my counter for half a year, because it had been too hot to plant them at the time.

I had such plans this morning, ship a bunch more books, grocery store, etc, and then I remembered I have the annual AC inspection. Ugh. Of course when are they coming? Eight to 12. Nice way to narrow it down.

Okay, I’m off to autograph more books and plant that miniature rosebush! Done! It’s raining so planted the flower seeds and next is fertilizing the grass. I was autographing last night until I was worn out. lol

Three Polar Bears in One

I had such a blast seeing so many polar bears at the San Diego Zoo. The only other zoo I’ve seen them at was the Omaha zoo, a very old tired bear.

So it was fun seeing the active polar bears having fun.

It was getting to be night and fun to see him out fishing.

Juvenile Flamingo

In the upper right hand corner, you can see a flamingo egg also.

I received the second edits on What the Wolf Wants, so I need to work on that. I had planned to have 50K yesterday on Protecting the White Bear, but I’m at 49K, so I have a little work to catch up.

We’re looking at rain this evening and most of next week. Rain is always welcome, but I sure wish we could share some with California!

My Little Man–Well, Snowman

In this rare weather event in the Houston area, I had to make a snowman. But I waited until it was warmer out!!! We actually had 4″ of snow.

While I was making him, Tanner kept trying to eat his nose, so I had to put him in the house with Max so I could finish the little guy.

Snow-covered roses in bloom. I had to dig out my chives, which are doing great, surprisingly enough, to snip some for dinner. I hope I don’t lose them before the cold snaps we’re getting stop.

I’m off to write before I forget the scene I was thinking about this morning.

Snow!

This morning, at 5 a.m., I was taking pictures of snow. In the Houston area, we rarely get it, so I was like a kid on Christmas morning, wanting to see if we had some. Sure enough, we did, and it’s still snowing.

It’s still really dark out. Love how my phone can take pictures in the dark and they turn out great.

Of course the dogs are trying to find where to go and I’m wanting to hurry them up! They’ve seen snow twice here some years back and once in Crawford. Tanner was eating it. He loves to chew on ice cubes.

I managed to get to 39K on Protecting the White Bear. The weather sure makes it easier to write about snow.

Duck and Her Ducklings

There’s always got to be one who’s a lone wolf. 🙂

I’ve had this photo forever, taken at Balboa Park, San Diego, but never shared it. I have her standing in the grass with her ducklings, but this is the one that really shows a family together…mostly. Come on, little Duckling. You can make it.

I managed to get to 37K yesterday on Protecting the White Bear so only 3K short of my goal. Monday and Wednesday’s are normally my off days as I’m taking care of my grandson and picking up my granddaughter at school. But I don’t have them Mon-Wed because of the holiday today and school closures because of winter storm warnings.

Maybe I can get back on track! I’m going to give it my best shot.

Polar Bears Swimming

I’m behind on my writing still. I caught up on two days, but had planned to get to 40K today and I’m at 34. So not happening. The dogs are washed, combed out, look great, until they roll in something else outside.

It’s cold out today, chill factor of 22 this morning. I hurried the dogs up outside, unhooked the last of my water hoses. It was dry since I haven’t used it for weeks.

I’m off to write and hope to get at least 2,000 words today. I was doing a lot of editing that doesn’t add a lot of scenes or words. But I’m not sure where to go with the story either. 🙂 Which helps when trying to write more words. lol
