Every Photo Tells a Story

The Havanese Whisperer. Inge (pronounced Inga) is a natural with animals. She was reading my book, The Dark Fae, sitting next to her, when Tanner wanted up on her lap. Max, the whiter one, wanted up too. And that was the end of reading and instead, the time for cuddling. Of course, that was time for me to take a picture. I didn’t use a flash or any lighting except for an overhead light. I knew if I opened all the blinds, the dogs would jump up and join me to see what I was doing.

The second picture shows what happens when you take baby for a walk in her stroller. lol

I had lunch with a friend I’d made at a neighborhood craft party and she is studying to get her teacher’s certificate for Texas. She said it was incredibly hard, but I know she can do it. It can take a lot of work, dedication, and drive, but if you really want to reach a goal, that’s what it takes.

I wrote for ten years before I was picked up by a publisher. I wasn’t an overnight success. There was no such thing as epubs or indie publishing at the time. When I was writing my early children’s stories, I had to use a typewriter. There were no personal computers back then. And I didn’t have the fancier typewriter either. You couldn’t turn in anything with any mistakes. Cut and paste meant literally, cutting scenes, sentences out and taping them to places I wanted them to go!

With the advent of computers, the internet for research and finding publishers even, who were looking for submissions, agents who accepted queries from prospective clients, and word processing so that cut and paste was super easy, and INDIE publishing and ebooks were now part of the scene…well, it’s a piece of cake.

Or not. It’s still work. Lots of work. But for me, it’s a lot faster and easier work!

Reach for your goals and succeed. You can do it!

Have a lovely day!!!
