Okay, so I spent most of the day trying to get Apple sorted out so I could finally publish Cougar Magic, Darkland Elf, and The Witch and the Jaguar on iBooks. My kids always think it’s me. That I “do” something with my computer that makes it such a disaster. But even after working with a senior technician, and she finally asked a software engineer, we finally found the problem.

You know, updates are supposed to improve things. Right? I had to go through this rigmarole last summer too, but since then I’ve had a couple of updates, and it has NOTHING to do with me. And guess what? That was it. So she wrote down the steps I need to take if it happens again. We had done so many different things, starting over, trying new things, that I had no idea how to do the one thing we needed to do. Anyway, it’s fixed. Until the next update.

So then, I’m trying to get the print version ready for The Witch and the Jaguar. I formatted the whole thing. No problem.

Then it comes to the cover. I hate the new system Amazon has for creating book covers. I thought the one for Createspace was much easier. I spent hours at it and it’s still not right for The Witch and the Jaguar. I gave up momentarily to proof the actual book to make sure it’s correct, then I’ll try to get the cover fixed and then I can publish the print version. But baby will be here tomorrow, and everything will have to be put off until she goes home.

But at least the ebook version is ready and everywhere now! A little Halloween, late, but better than never, right? See the trouble jaguar shifters can get into when the bewitching hour is upon them.

Other fun news: I have the new cover for the 10th anniversary of Destiny of the Wolf. I love it! In my early books, I had headless guys. The idea was that readers could envision the cool guys on their own. NOT. So now I’m getting the whole guy. Yes! No more headless, wolfish guys.

And, I’ll be writing a novella for the next white wolf book: Legend of the White Wolf 10th anniversary edition for 2020. And that means a new cover!! The original is cute, but it’s cartoonish, when everything else is serious. So it will be good to have a cover that is more uniform.  I have to write 3 novels and a novella.

And of course more!

I think that’s about all the news. I’m off to play with baby! Oh, I got her raking the pine needles in the yard on Wednesday, then carrying stacks of them into the flowerbed. Yep, I’ll make a gardener of her yet.
