I finished Vampire Redemption and am in that I-don’t-know-what-to-write phase for the next red wolf book. I’ve been researching and just setting up some of the details–what the characters look like from the previous book, occupations, a little bit about them, not much, because they were secondaries, so it’s not much to go on, which makes it fun as I develop them. So I need to do some kind of world turned upside down for them. They know each other from being in the same wolf pack, work at the same police department, so something has to change for them. They need their own goals–something they can’t live without. The usual.
I want to jump in and just start writing them, get it going, but I have to do some more thinking. In the meantime, I’m rereading Dangerous Liaisons–another adult vampire book I had started. I need about 50K on that to finish it up. Bite of the Vampire needs about 30K… See? I have tons of books I need to finish, but Red Wolf is on deadline.
Unfortunately, this already happened! Not with Arnie, but with armed robbers going after toilet paper, of all things. The new gold.
