Babysitting Duty

Well, today I’ve got both grandkids. That should be interesting.

I’ve been working hard to finish Roxie’s story. Still have several scenes to write. But I kind of wrote it to the end to an extent. I need something at the very, very end. But I’m getting there and I turned in Kayla’s Wolf on the Wild Side edits. I’ll have one more final proofing coming up on that. Tuesday is Christmas Wolf Surprise release.

But today, it’s all about kids.

Elf Girl in Fall

I’m not sure what she sees, but maybe she isn’t blending in with the forest as well as she thinks she is.

I started working on edits on Kayla’s story again. 50 pages done, 150 to go. I have the baby for a couple of hours this afternoon, so trying to get some more chapters done before and after he is here. At least with this story, it’s done. I’m just rereading it. With her sister, Roxie’s story, I have to work on finishing it still.

When You Have One of THOSE Days

You might really be a shifter.

So my granddaughter and I made ghosts and put them out last night. We’re off to the Mad Hatter Tea Party today. I managed nearly 4,000 words yesterday before I picked her up from school. Yay!

After her mom picks her up this evening, I’ll be back to writing.

An Angel and the Deer

Does it sound like a story? I was working on that last night and today. I had to scrap my original photo, but the head was one that I had hand painted (mixer brush) in Photoshop.

I’m trying to finish Roxie’s story, but got edits for one of the earlier books. So I need to jump on that. I love getting them done, but hate being pulled out of another story I’m trying to finish up! Then I have to try and remember where I’m at on the other story, once I get myself immersed in the other one.

We had fun at the community center where they had National Day Out last night. Tomorrow, I’ll be taking my granddaughter home with me for an overnighter. She said she’ll watch Jurassic Park with me. But I’m not sure she’s ready for it yet. I can envision her in bed with me that night. lol

Then we’re going to a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party the next day. I can’t wait!

But for now, I’ve got to get to work!!!

Hocus Pocus

We often watch Hocus Pocus for Halloween and now we’re going to watch Hocus Pocus II and hope it’s as good as the first. I took the picture of the Hocus Pocus witches at a Renaissance fair.

Working on Cutting Back the Overgrown Stuff

It seems like during the summer, I spend my time playing catch up–when it’s sooooo hot–just on weeding.

So now in the mornings it’s cooler, and I’m cutting down trees and cutting back lantana and shrubs that are growing into the yard. And of course, STILL pulling out weeds. But I will say the cooler weather has slowed them down a wee bit. It still is getting way too hot also. It’s going to be 86, not 90, like they had predicted, so I’ll walk to pick up my granddaughter. I’m taking her 3 wheel scooter so she can scoot along beside me and I’m not towing her with me. lol

Autumn is Coming Soon–For Us

I’m so ready for fall!!! I’m LOVING the cooler temps in the morning and at night. Such a relief.

I’m going to work on the story, try to get as much done as I can. I’m starting over from the beginning to edit and see what I need to write more on. It’s getting closer to being done. Woohoo!
