I was so busy working on the Highland story yesterday, that I didn’t get my blog written! I’ve been working on this book for probably 15 years. Not all the time, of course. Some years, I probably haven’t even opened it up. And when I have, it’s to make a few changes and then I’m back to working on a newer book. I’m changing it extensively, so throwing out scenes, adding new ones, breaking up chapters, changing names. I’ve been doing a lot of MAJOR revisions. I finally figured out why it isn’t working and how to make it work.
It’s making it a much better story. But I’ll probably set it aside at some point to work on Bear in Mind again. Sometimes it’s easier just to write a new book! On the other hand, I still love this story, so it will be finished at some point! At least I feel I’m making some progress, more than I have in years.
My grandson will be staying with me on Mondays and Tuesdays now and I’m taking him to have lunch with his kindergartner sister today. If this goes well, we’ll do it on a weekly basis. If it doesn’t, I’ll have lunch with her on a day that I don’t have my grandson. He’s about 18 mos old now and I just don’t know how he’ll do in the lunch cafeteria.
I wonder if I can get my granddaughter’s scooter on the stroller so I can walk with him to get her afternoons! Lots to figure out with the new schedule.
Have a super delightful day!
