Dreaming of the Highland Wolf Released!

Oh and yes, this happened to both my mom when she was raising toy and miniature poodles and me, when I had a standard poodle and earlier when I had a Lab. It happens.

Great White Heron at the Pond

What? You’re saying. That’s not a pond. That’s a beach! Get with the program. She needs a copy editor.

But the pond photo needed some oomph and voila, we were at the beach. Yay! And that’s writing for you. One minute you’re in your world, and the next, in my world.

It’s cold out–feels like 31 out! Brrrr! It’s colder than I thought it was when I took the dogs out this morning. Which meant I wasn’t dressed as warmly as I should have been. But when the dogs want out–they’re not waiting for me to check the weather channel.

Okay, I’m off to proof some more of Dreaming. I managed to get through a little of it last night and 2,000 words on Huntress. But I have pilates in a little while, and so I need to try and get some of this done before that.

Macaw and Ibis

Not two birds of a feather, yet, they seem to not mind being in each other’s company. I took the photo at Moody Gardens, Galveston.

I’m at 40,000 words on Huntress Unleashed. I don’t have the grandkids through Monday, so I’m thinking, do I try and proof Dreaming of the Highland Wolf, or keep working on Huntress Unleashed? Maybe I can get my word count on the vampire story and then skip off to start proofing wolf. Hmm, sounds like a plan.

The temperature dropped. So the high will be 48 today. It was warmer first thing this morning. So I’ll probably skip yard work today. Does that mean I’m a fair weather gardener??? lol Yeah, I think so!

Great White Heron

He was so beautiful at the pond, fishing. I was pushing my grandson in his stroller to get big sister from school when I saw him. Love them!

Okay, speaking of big sister, she’s here. She stayed last night because she has the day off today and is staying with me. She’s selling Girl Scout cookies, so we have to go to her mom’s work in a couple of hours.

We’re doing a reading paper, math paper, and reading a book, having a tea party, and then whatever else we can get ourselves into. It’s raining or we would have gone for a walk to the park. 🙂

Little Monsters…

Well, I made it to 38K yesterday. I really didn’t think I could write 2,000 word when little one is here, then big one is here and then bigger one is here. But I wrote until late and did it!

Today is hectic. Normally I get my 2,000 words in but I have a dental appt (super monster ugh here), then taking lunch and having it with granddaughter at her school, then picking her up and she’s here for the night and all day tomorrow. Soooo, it will be a miracle if I can get even a 1,000 words in. Tomorrow I have to take her to her mom’s work to sell Girl Scout cookies. I can’t believe it’s already that time!

Hearts and Flowers and the Year of the Dragon

I love dragons.

In some of my YA fae stories, dragon shifter fae are featured!

Dragon Fae (Book 5), Hawk Fae (Book 6), Phantom Fae (Book 7), Golden Fae (Book 8), and Falcon Fae (Book 9) all feature the dragon shifters. The last two books too, most likely. Go, Dragons!

So I had gotten a monster outfit for my grandson, it’s the cutest thing ever. Just sweats with cutie-pie monsters from Walmart. And I planned to create a picture with him talking to cute little monsters in a field of flowers, or something. My granddaughter saw the monsters and she loved them and wanted me to do a picture of HER standing on rocks, talking to the monsters. lol

Spring Got Cold

Wait, it’s not spring, it’s winter! But yesterday it felt like summer. Truly, I’m glad for both the nice weather as I was out doing a lot of yard work yesterday and the cooler weather before the unbearable summer gets here.

I had my toddler grandson overnight and he got scared without a night light. He had never used one before, so I took my wolf nightlight in there and he said good night to the wolves and good morning to them and he was a happy camper.

We’re watching Brain Candy and they’re putting together boats and airplanes and trucks and talking about all the parts to them. Even I’m learning some things, lol!

Okay I’m off to hopefully get a little writing done.

It’s not Valentine’s Day yet, but I was having fun with creating a Valentine’s Day greeting anyway.

Super Bowl is today, which means littlest one is staying with me overnight. I have him all day tomorrow anyway. Sooooo I’m off to write before he ends up here and I can’t write!

Have a super bowl kind of day! Mine will be more of a toddler kind of day. 🙂 And that’s fun too!

A rodent of unusual size…R.O.U.S. (The Princess Bride) Okinawa.

I managed to get to 22K yesterday on Huntress Unleashed. Had a lovely lunch with my granddaughter. I’ll do it again next week. The school year is coming to a close!

So I had the brilliant idea to use my resistance bands to exercise with during the week. I had gotten them when I had a rotator cuff injury, but haven’t used them in years. When I was doing pilates, I noticed that my left arm didn’t have as much mobility–soooo, easy peasy. I’m doing slow repetitions, just a few on each arm a day and by Wednesday night, my lower abdomen was screaming in pain. Wait, what? You mean doing the arm stretches with the bands is working my lower abdomen too??? Score! Except I need to take daily breaks in between. lol

Tomorrow is my 2nd day at pilates and I’m afraid I’m going to be so sore when trying to do anything because of overdoing it this week. But I’ll power through it somehow.

Okay, I’m off to feed the dogs and birds. And then write!
