An AI company used a bunch of our books to “train” their AI without our permission, so they’re having to pay us a little money for each of the titles. Still filling out the form. Some of my rights have been reverted to me, some are listed as publishers but they’re publishing platforms, not publishers, so they shouldn’t get any money for it, some are solely mine–yay for indie publishing! And some I have to share with publishers. But then also lawyers. So I don’t expect much back. Though apparently they’ve made billions off our titles.
At least we might get a little compensation, which I hadn’t expected at all. The little guy doesn’t usually get anything. I really thought it wasn’t for real when I first heard about it.
Well, I’m happily at 30K on the word count for Cougar Christmas Catastrophe. Still trying to figure out a satisfying ending that’s different from all my other books.

I don’t care so much about it.
Mostly because it puts people out of work.
At least you got compensation from the debacle.
Well I managed to get my contents of my Mini iPad 6 into the cloud yesterday. Will finish transferring it to my hubby’s old iPad today. Will keep my Mini 5 & 6 viable for awhile. But I need to remove my DragonVale from both of the Mimi’s.
So those are my plans for today.
Day before yesterday I cut my hair really short. And yes I cut hair. But I am not a hairdresser. I am using a serum to try and get my hair follicles to be revitalized. I am going to cut hubby’s hair next.
Nothing much else going on in my life.

Great on transferring all your stuff over. It’s always a job! But it’s a great plan!
My mother always cut her own hair. It looked so much better than when she had it cut professionally. I’m dyeing a wig that is way too brassy and yellow. So fingers crossed it will work. lol I don’t dye my hair.
