Argh!!!

So I had that lovely beefsteak tomato large and ripening when we came back from our vacation and I went to pick it yesterday. It was in this nice little bag to protect it from caterpillars and birds and guess what? Something tore a hole in the sack and devoured my tomato!

Why it matters? That is the only large tomato I’ve had on ANY of my tomato plants. Story of my life. The cherry tomatoes are always prolific, but the others, no go for me. Next year? I buy the tomatoes from the store and have something to eat.

So there, whatever you were that ate my tomato!

Off to do blood work. I wish it would go to once every two weeks or so, but while I’m on chemo through October, I’m afraid it will be every week forever.

Have a super great day and may your hard work provide bountiful rewards!

  1. Hi Terry
I am sorry your tomato got eaten.
And I am sorry you still have to have chemo and bloodwork to do.
If you have a Bible read the book of Jonah.
And you will understand about your tomato.
We all have trials, but God will be with you in your trial.
I am 77 and I feel my age everyday.
I get Back Spasms, my hair is falling out, my leg and hip is painful and I just found out it is because my Estrogen is low.
I had early menopause because I had a hysterectomy, and then my ovaries removed because of cysts.
And because I had surgeries, I did not let myself heal. And because I have an eating disorder I gained so much weight; I have to watch that I do not fall back into yo yo dieting. So therefore I cannot lose the weight but I have not gained any since I plateaued in of January 2020, and I can eat anything I want.
So what I am getting at is this: if I did not have my God in my life I would be a wreck. Yeshua’-Jesus is my Rock and Saviour. He keeps me sane, happy and content.
Without Him in my life would be unbearable. Praise God.
So keep us, your Fans and friends informed about what you are facing in your life so we can keep praying for you, as you are precious to us but mostly to God as He loves you more than we do.
Keep looking up as you are more precious than the tomato in God’s eyes.
You have a great day today my Friend.
Oh and it has not stopped raining.
    Love Sheila Claire

    • My blood work was really good for being on chemo for the last 11 days. 🙂 I took my granddaughter with me and she was so good. We did school work and had lunch together out.

  2. My parents would plant marigolds around the tomatoes to keep most of the insects out of the tomatoes. The only thing they ever had trouble with was the big tomato worms. That is what they called them.

    • I have marigolds around mine. This had big teeth and chewed through the bag and ate the whole tomato. ugh. I went out to get the ripe cherry tomato on the other plant and it was gone.
