Rooster in Charge, Taken at Brenham

Rooster in Charge, shot the photo of him at a writer’s retreat at a cabin in Brenham, TX where they had hens, fresh eggs, a silly old cat, deer roaming through the place, cattle, calves and goats. They also had a bird watching blind, a water feature and tons of birds to photograph. It was fun.

I haven’t gotten much writing done the last couple of days, so I’m going to try to get somewhere with it again.

I learned the cancer is still in remission BUT that they have new technology that is more sensitive to see really small cells and learned that I have a couple of mutations. Which isn’t good. But I’m glad they discovered it. They’re taking me off chemo for a month to try and get my blood counts up after reducing the inhibitor that keeps me from rejecting the donor transplant and then start the chemo again. The hope is when my counts are up, THEY will fight the mutations. Once I’m on chemo, it will knock my blood counts down again. *sigh*

Hope you have a wonderful day!!! I’m off to immerse myself in the world of grizzly bear shifters.

Who Are You Looking at?

That’s what I figured he was thinking! I took the photo of him at the Writer’s Retreat. I wrote, for sure. I had edits to do on a book to turn in. But I also photographed farm life, wild birds, and captured some deer coming to visit! It was the perfect writer’s retreat!

I managed to get my 1,000 for the day before and a 1,000 for yesterday on Highland Wolf. I normally write 2,000 words per day, but this head cold is still plaguing me. I only have 5,000 words to go for minimum word count.

Hope your day is the best!

Do You Use an Alarm Clock?

Do you?

Can’t stand them. If I have an appointment for something that I’m worried I won’t wake in time for (I’m an early riser anyway), I’ll set the alarm.

But have you set the alarm and it doesn’t go off?

Do you look at the clock all night anyway?

In one of the books I just finished a bit ago and turned in, I had that she worried she wouldn’t wake in time. The editor said she would just set an alarm clock.

I hate alarm clocks. They don’t help me to sleep any better. And sometimes? It doesn’t go off. Maybe I set it at pm instead of am. Maybe I had the sound so low, I didn’t hear it. Or maybe I thought I turned it on and I had just set the time and thought I had turned it on. Who knows? But it was the perfect excuse to join the hero that night so that at least one of them would wake on time.

Forget alarm clocks.

Maybe he or she won’t help wake you either and you may not sleep all that much, but it would sure be a lot more fun!

Have a super day!
