The English Iris, isn’t it lovely? Love purple flowers!

Okay, still haven’t started on the edits, not procrastinating, but still trying to get my word count on SEAL for the week. Well, procrastinating a little.

But I also got some more reviews in that I wasn’t expecting:

Paranormal Romance

COUGAR’S MATE is Book 1 in Terry Spear’s Heart of the Cougar series. As a longtime fan of Terry Spear, I was very excited to hear about this new series about cougar shifters. Happily for me, I really enjoyed this book. There is a lot of action in COUGAR’S MATE, but it doesn’t obscure the romance.

At the beginning of the story, Shannon Rafferty is a woman in crisis.Chase Buchanan is the sexy, incredibly sweet lawman she runs into. Chase is a dream.

Chase’s buddies — Hal, Dan, and Stryker — are all great guys and I look forward to reading stories about them in future books. They are all tough, former military types, but they all have a wonderful caring side. I love the way the entire town took Shannon in and supported her like one of their own. The town and the feeling of community and family it provides Shannon are almost equally as seductive as Chase’s charms. COUGAR’S MATE is an exciting paranormal romance with a strong heroine and a sweet, sexy hero!

There is absolutely nothing I didn’t love about Cougar’s Mate by Terry Spear. This is one of those books that grabs you right from the first page and doesn’t let go until the last.

“She’d never felt she was cursed, but what if she was? With three dead boyfriends to her name?”

“Hell, he loved her for all her vulnerability, her sassiness, her caring, everything that made her the she-cat that she was. Somehow, he would save her.”

This book has humor and romance and lots of heart pounding action. I loved every page of it. If you enjoy shifter books, then you will love this book. This was my first book by Terry Spear and most definitely will not be my last.

Instinct told her to run…

Cougar’s Mate pulled me into the story from page one and kept me reading until the last word.

What’s especially enjoyable is Ms. Spears’, slow build up to the physical relationship between Shannon and Chase. It’s not rushed which makes it feel natural. Just when you think things are going Shannon and Chase’s way, trouble rear its head.

During the last part of the story I didn’t want to put the book down so I could continuing reading and see what happened to this pair.

Cougar’s Mate is the first of a new series by Ms. Spears and I can’t wait for book two.

Woohoo!!! Okay, enough dancing around the room, or skipping outside to take pictures. Time to ship books and then get back to the business of writing.

Any plans for the weekend???

  1. That’s a wonderful review! I will be picking that book up for sure!

I love your Iris pics… Mine are blooming now and I keep meaning to take a pic. IF you like them, I would be glad to send you some cuttings. Purple rules!

I hope to catch up writing reviews. But… first, my son and I are heading over toe EPCOT today… The Village People are there! I loved their show there last year. My favs have been the Village People and Herman’s Hermits (Peter Noone has the bluest eyes… I could swim in his eyes),

  2. Ahh, thanks so much! I was offline all morning and up until midnight last night, trying to finish up edits on A Highland wolf Christmas. 🙂 Have to get A SEAL Wolf for Sale word count today. 🙂

Send me some pictures of your flowers! I’d love that. 🙂 Have fun at Epcot!!! My daughter and I went there a couple of years back, gosh, I think it’s been 4 years now, before she got married and right after my son’s wedding in Pensacola. We had a ball!!! I was at a writer’s conference, but she and I opened Disney every morning, and saw the fireworks at closing every night.
