NaNoWriMo & Monarch Butterfly Caterpillars

What do they have in common? I had to stop writing and take pictures.

Hoards of Monarch Butterflies visited the milkweed and now I have beautiful monarch butterfly caterpillars. We still will have like 81 degrees on Monday, but it’s time for all good little butterflies to head on down south.

So I made 5,341 words by last night on Darkland Elf. I’m 10,000 words over what I set as my minimum goal, and if I didn’t have baby here, I’d be writing up a storm. I hope to get at least 2,000 done today though. 🙂 I want to get this done before I start reading Day of the Wolf. I’ll probably turn that story in to my editor on Monday.

My neighbor lost a ten-foot juniper tree during the storms on Halloween the other night. We had winds up to 56 miles an hour. It always makes me worry about my swaying pine trees.

Okay, baby is due any second. Off to get ready!
