Man, did I have a horrible nightmare last night–all about going to the dentist over this crown this morning. I’ve been in pain for 3 weeks, so I’m hoping when they replace the temporary, it will work out better!
A whole family of bluebirds love to bathe in the fountain. Here is a male having a good time of it!
It turned cold and we had 2 inches of rain yesterday. The thunderstorm knocked out all my Christmas lights.
I have to work on Emerald Isle of Mists today and try to figure out a synopsis for the new Wolff sister story and work on promo blogs for the upcoming release of the book coming out in January. Also for the 10th Anniversary edition of Silence of the Wolf coming out next week???
We are listening to this music, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=___dONb5CBs while we were making the Snowman and Snowgirl. My granddaughter helped fill the snow people with rice and picked out the socks for the hats and all the decorations. She wanted a ton of other things from my knick-knack box on hers, but I managed to slip some of it back in the box. lol
I realized after they were made, they were supposed to be in two parts, not 3 part snowmen. But either works great!
I managed to make 22,000 on The Emerald Isle of Mists and I’m really getting ideas for it, nonstop, so that’s good. I will finish it! I wrote 1300 words just now, an idea I had that I didn’t want to lose. Yay!
I love it when that happens. I still have more to write, so I’m off to it.
My granddaughter was sick yesterday so we didn’t go to the post office to ship bears and books. I’ll do that today, but until then, I’m off to fight with the dark knights!
Have a fun and unstressful day! Fighting these creatures is wearing me out.
I was working on The Emerald Isle of Mists and I am up to 20,000! Little one is here today, so I won’t get much done. We’ll go to the post office to ship a bear and books and I need to find out what the postage is for 2 bears also. I’ve been winging it on the postage, but one cost $15 over what I charged so I can’t do that again!
We need some materials to create our stocking snowman, so we might pick that up today also.
Truly, I need to write them in my sleep! I had a query from another reader about The Emerald Isle of Mists. I’ve started it but not very far along on it. It was meant to be a trilogy and I wrote the first two books and couldn’t sell them–back in the day when indie books didn’t exist. Can you even imagine a time like that?
When I first started writing, we could actually send our books to acquisition editors. But then things changed and the internet became a place to submit 3 chapters. Oh, soooo wonderful. No more typing out pages and making a ton of errors. I mean, I do on Word now, but that’s easy to fix, and fix, and fix. But typing on real paper was a different story. Then most publishers required submissions through agents. Why? Because they were getting SOOOOO many story submissions.
I ended up getting published by 3 publishers, 1 before they were even doing epubs. Then epubs came along. And long story longer…indie books were a thing where we could actually write and publish our own books on reputable book sites–Kobo, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Google Play, Apple and Smashwords. And then we could even have our books narrated into audio books!!
So my two orphaned books in the trilogy: The Scepter of Salvation and The Magic of Inherian were available in ebook, print, and audio book! But Kersta’s story was constantly put on the back burner because of deadline books and readers wanting more fae, more bears, more cougars, more Highland medieval stories, wolves. I’ve had The Emerald Isle of Mists TBD (date to be determined) listed in my other books forever.
I’m working on it! I will finish it. Thanks to my readers who have been waiting for it for so many years.
I’m off to work on it. At 3,000 words. So far to go, but I’m going!
