Bluebird ready to fly. A whole bunch of bluebirds, this one included, flew toward my living room window when I was writing a book. They were going under the eave, targeting yellow jackets building a nest. Instant bug control.
Now, if only they would work on the yellow jackets around here!
We had wild storms last night. Two inches of rain! We really needed it!
I planted some seeds while it was raining. It’s a great time to plant!
Hope your day is going great! I think the chemo is getting to me this morning. Feeling queasy. š It’s been a week on the chemo.

We had a wild nonstop day of it yesterday and of course I had to get my daughter’s/grandson’s cold, so did my granddaughter, so I’ve been really under the weather. Coughing all night for the last two nights is miserable. She got scared and ended up in bed with me, and the dogs were whining to go out way before I wanted to get up. We tried selling GS cookies in the front yard last night but it was FREEZING. Usually, we have to worry about everything melting–chocolate, that is!
I have to do some more photo art for a special project, got edits for my Highland wolf book, and have both kids on Monday. I’m hoping I can get some of this stuff done before Monday.
She’s going to dance in a little bit, but we went over her reading words and she actually tried to do a bunch more that she hasn’t learned. She’s also reading a book a day, so that’s been fun Drop it, Rocket, was our book for last night. It reminded me of Tanner. He always gets our socks and puts them on his bed. So I’ll say, “Drop, it, Tanner!” Sometimes he does. Sometimes he doesn’t. Then I have to pick him up and he immediately drops the sock. He’s so silly. He will be wagging his tail hard the whole time. Such a happy, little dog.
Okay, I’m off to read with her and then we’re making some more headbands.
The photo of the bluebird is mine. I used Daily Texture for the background. He was sitting on the back of a wrought iron chair just chilling when I was lucky to capture the shot.
I finally managed to get to 23k on Bite of the Vampire. I have lunch with my granddaughter today, but I’m hoping the rest of the day I can work on the story and get somewhere with it. At least I’ve added 4,000 words to it since I started working on it again.
With this one, we just had to create a title, two framed pictures, flowers and ribbon overlays. These are pictures of the bluebirds and blue jays in my yard.
Love blue!
Okay before I get even more behind on my writing, I’m off to write!
A whole family of bluebirds love to bathe in the fountain. Here is a male having a good time of it!
It turned cold and we had 2 inches of rain yesterday. The thunderstorm knocked out all my Christmas lights.
I have to work on Emerald Isle of Mists today and try to figure out a synopsis for the new Wolff sister story and work on promo blogs for the upcoming release of the book coming out in January. Also for the 10th Anniversary edition of Silence of the Wolf coming out next week???

Well, I shipped off the rest of the bears and the last book yesterday, dancercized with my daughter for a while, and then early evening, she said she was having steady contractions so I took my granddaughter home with me last night. I can’t get her to sleep in her own bed where she could have all the star lights racing across the room or Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star playing for hours that soothes her, but drives me mad.
So I have her on her mat for a few minutes in my room, but then she was crying. *sigh*
She ends up in bed with me, though I have been able to get her down for naps on her mat some afternoons I have her. Then when she fell asleep, I turned off the music, yay! Still had to endure the wildly rolling lights. But she was clinging to me and I finally went to the other side of the bed to have some me space and the next thing I know, she’s clinging to me again. lol
I did finally manage to sleep some though. I asked her if she noticed I moved to the other side of the bed last night.
“Yes, and I followed you.”
I just had to laugh. So then this morning, she did NOT want to go to preschool. I told her that her teacher would be sad–she adores her teacher, and that I might end up having her overnight again if the baby tries to come. I normally have her here Wed and Thurs, so no preschool, and I hope I sleep better! Anyway, she’s at school for now and that means I need to get something done on my writing before I have to pick her up! I may end up at my daughter’s house in the middle of the night, or I might just keep Keira tonight, who knows. The baby doesn’t want to come.
All right, got to get to work!
Have a super, lovely day! Mine, I fear, is going to be crazy.
I love the little bluebirds. I didn’t ever think they’d come, just seeing one in a blue moon, and now I have several.
I began working on the edits on Jingle Bell Wolf. I go through it one time, twice, three times, accepting all the small stuff. Now I’m printing out chapters and rereading them and making changes. I just need to take a break from the computer to see what needs to be changed and a printed version helps me to see that. I still have a long way to go, but no picking up my granddaughter tomorrow, so I hope to have today and tomorrow that are fairly disruption free and get further on it. I have a prologue, epilogue, and 24 chapters, so I’m through the 1st 3 chapters and the prologue.
I also received another bear order, so I have that to do. I cut it out last night.
Plum Bear
I need to get some word count on White Wolf, added 4,000 yesterday, added 2,000 words to Angel Fae yesterday also.
Off to work! The day is slipping away!!! Have a great day!

Said goodbye to my son this morning. I don’t know when we’ll be able to get together again, things being what they are, but we had a lovely visit for two weeks!
He has a 15-hour drive, so we got up really early to have donuts and coffee/tea, with my daughter and then he was off.
I’m off to write, but we’ve been going to bed so late and my internal alarm clock won’t shut off, so I’m up still really early every morning. It will be nice to get on more of a regular schedule and try to get closer to 8 hours of sleep. The last few nights it’s been 4 or 5 hours and that’s just not enough!
I decided to add a prologue to Primal Desire, and maybe an epilogue so off to chase off a monster.
Still have an awful sore throat. Hoping it’s not strep. They say young children under 5 shouldn’t get it, and adults don’t either, but little one goes to daycare 3 days a week, so it’s like going to school and picking up everything. She’s had strep before, and I’ve had it after she was sick and then I became sick.
The problem is she’s always wanting hugs and to sit on my lap and read stories, and then she’s sneezing and coughing, and the next thing you know, Grandma’s got it. But I still wouldn’t give up the hugs and lap sitting to read her stories.
I did manage to finish proofing Joy to the World and sent it in and wrote 2,000 words on Wolf in Need. I was awake most of the night with this awful sore throat, but it’s feeling not as bad this morning when I swallow. Here’s hoping it will go away on its own.
Have a beautiful day! It’s nice and warm here, and feels great!
