Off to write! I didn’t quite get my 2,000 words done yesterday. I was reuploading Loving the White Bear and Claiming the White Bear with new buy links and covers, and You Had Me at Cougar after trying to get my Vellum to work and still trying to figure out Itunes Connect. My 12-year-old Mac wasn’t updating and it was crashing, so had to get a new one, and that means lots of redoing. Unfortunately, that means ALL the 87 indie titles I have on Vellum will have to be reuploaded individually into Vellum. It took me 3 days to redo the More from the Author buy links for the over 100 books I have in total. So it’s been a major job.
I made a new cover for His Wild Highland Lass so eventually I’ll reread the novella and then reupload it too. But I want to concentrate on getting Bear of a Halloween done first, or at least further along. It’s at 30K now.
Weeded again yesterday. The humidity was up to 87% at 6:30 so it was really hot. Don’t feel like doing it today–though I do it periodically in the backyard every time I take the dogs out, so probably just work on the story first thing and hopefully get a little further with it today.
Hope your day is splendid!!

I took the picture of the wolf at the International Wolf Center.
So yesterday I was in shock when I took the dogs out and it was relatively cool out and the humidity was 50% instead of 87%, which made a world of difference. I took little one out with me and gave him an oat bar to munch on while he sat on a stool so I could keep track of him since I had to work out front and got some weeding done. Yay! So hoping it will do the same tomorrow and I’ll get more done without a little one to worry about.
And I managed to write 3,000 words last night so I ended up with 28,000 on Bear of a Halloween. Yay! All in all a great day! Even making a little bit of progress on potty training!
Okay, I’m off to weed and write. Have a great day!

I’m melting so I decided to cool things up a bit. I’m writing an Alaska polar bear shifter story and it’s hard to write cold when it’s so hot. So a little winter art and I already feel better.
Have a great day and keep thinking great thoughts!

Grandkids and dogs are always vying for my lap so when I created this I was thinking of that! The dragons want on her lap but the owl got there first and they don’t look happy about it.
Little one will be here momentarily and we’re going to get the mail on our stroller walk before it gets too hot and grocery shop since my cupboards are bare.
I turned in Mated by Christmas and am proofing Loving the White Bear before I republish it and Claiming the White Bear before I start working on Bear of a Halloween again.
I think we might never have a fall. I know it’s still summer, but with record breaking temperatures and no relief in sight from either rain or cooler temps…it feels like this will be never ending.
Have a terrific day!

Sometimes escaping to a fantasy world is just the ticket to sanity.
The heat is never ending–91 at 4 am. The drain flies, gnats, whatever they are–are never ending. I’ve tried soap in apple cider vinegar (caught 2), water and apple cider vinegar and soap (caught 3), but the most successful thing I’ve tried are moth glue traps (3 set out and two have 46+ on them, 1 has about 15. My son-in-law says, “You actually count them?” Yes, I’m desperate to know what is working!). I picked up some gnat/fly glue traps, but so far, the one I put out only caught 2.
But the great news is I finished proofing Mated by Christmas and turned it in. Yay! I’m still working on Bear of a Halloween but I need to begin to work on the DEA red wolf story.
I’m up too early, couldn’t sleep.
Hope you all have a fantastic day!

I love the combination of aqua and oranges so I recolored the griffin’s eye from gold to blue and some of his feathers from beige to pick up the oranges, changed her dress trim to orange instead of pink to pick up the color of her hair, added tons of layers of grass and flowers that had blues and oranges, added a floral wreath with a combination of the two. The girl is from Miles Beyond the Moon, the watercolor grasses from Etsy, the butterfly and dragonfly from Lynne Anzelc, the background textures a combination of Daily Textures and Magnolia Textures and Backgrounds by Heather (she also creates beautiful watercolor and oil textures).
Yesterday, I worked on more weeds, but it’s supposed to be 105 today without the heat index factor, add 10, which it has been every day. Even at 5:30 this morning, the heat index was 93, just awful. And the heat is on. But I hope to get some weeding done anyway.
I did manage to get 2,000 on Bear of a Halloween.
I don’t have any kids during the day today and tomorrow until I pick up my granddaughter at 3, so I’m going to jump on edits for white wolf–Mated for Christmas.
Hope your day isn’t as hot and dry as it is here, or you’re not in the middle of floods, or tornadoes, hurricanes, typhoons, or fires or whatever else the world is throwing at us these days.

This is Aidan at the International Wolf Center in Ely, Minnesota. He was the alpha at the time I visited. Regal, beautiful wolf.
Mated for Christmas has been decided on by readers for the title for Slade’s story. He’s the Arctic wolf pilot who flies visitors into the Boundary Canoe Waters. And Sheri is the Arctic wolf who ended up with the white wolf pack also. Still doing edits on it and then will proof it and send it in.
Have little one only today and have to remember to pick up my granddaughter from school today. lol
It’s hot and muggy, what’s new. I was out trying to get rid of some vines that have taken over things in the back and worked late last night pulling out weeds to fill 2 40-lb bags. It was 105 heat index still, but it didn’t feel as bad without the sun beating on me and there was a hot, humid breeze that helped.
Off to do things with little one. Have a wonderful day!
