We had to use lyrics from a song and create an image. I thought of a couple of others, but this one I really liked because I have so many pictures of tigers that I’ve taken.
It was really warm this morning, going to get to 83 and then temps are dropping. So I need to get out and do some yard work but now I’ll be dealing with fire ants too.
I just loved the tiger when I shot her, but the blurred wood and rock were in the way. So I added new logs, more leaves, texture background, and voila! Art!
I ran to the grocery store this morning at 7:30. I was glad to see that most everyone was wearing a mask. I also walked. It gets too hot after that.
I’m off to finish up Red Wolf marketing materials. I want to get started on Heart of the Highland Wolf novella, but have no idea what to write. lol
Yum! So I went to the grocery store and it was nice and empty. Yay! I shipped off some books, but didn’t have the address on file like I thought it was for one of them, ugh, so need to go back.
I went to the place to get my safety inspection sticker, yes, the place is open, but it was too wet. It had rained. It wasn’t raining when I went. They have to test the brakes. Okay, so they can’t test the brakes on a wet area?
Uhm, what would they do if it was too wet in Oregon? It’s always wet there. Almost.
For them, it’s always some excuse. Last year they supposedly ran out of safety inspection stickers. They only have a few issued to them. Come back in a couple of weeks. Went the next day, because I don’t like things hanging over my head and wow, they had them. So what gives with a business that is practically empty all the time? They don’t like doing some kind of work? They don’t like doing any kind of work?
You know what they say, the less some have to do, the less they want to do.
Sure, we have don’t have to get them done right away because of the coronavirus, but you know what happens when everyone has to get them? Instead of just the people doing it for that month, everyone for 3 months will have to get them all at once. And what does that mean? Crowds.
And we’re not out of the woods yet by a long shot, though some act like we are. So I would like to get it done now, out of the way, and when there are no crowds and the place isn’t doing a lick of business.
Ready for breakfast? A steak on the rare side. Boltz, the gray wolf is eyeing the food the other wolves are enjoying, tail down, head down, he watches them, but he doesn’t approach until the hunger pangs just get to be too much for him.
Well, I managed 3500 words on Cougar Magic, though I really wanted to do more. Up to 25,500. Thirty-five thousand to go. I hope to make it to 35,000 this weekend to be at the halfway point.
But I had to go back into Silver Town and I’m making some major changes. Ugh. It’ll make the book much better, BUT, even a small revision can have a rippling effect throughout the book. With major changes, moving a later scene or several earlier, means some things haven’t happened yet. It’s like a time warp that leaves the reader–me–totally discombobulated. lol The first 6 chapters were unaffected. I’ve reworked chapters 7-10, and I couldn’t handle it any more last night. I think around ch 15 through 28 are okay, not sure, so I’ll have to rewrite chapters 11-15 today. I remind myself this is all for the better and it will be done again. Then I’ll reread it all over again and send it to my beta reader to see what she thinks. And, I still want to keep up with my word count on the other book.
Okay, off to write before I have to run errands. Remember the hunger pangs business? I need to get my dogs dog food or I have to feed them my food. Not happening. Have a terrific day!!!
I loved how the dark and light gave the photos mood. The flamingos were magical, the tiger mysterious, the parakeets fun.
Later, I want to show the interaction between some of the animals: one of the elephants pushing a baby around, parakeets feeding each other (if I was able to catch it), and hippos baring their teeth at one another. I usually don’t see that much interaction between the animals. So it was fun to capture.
I’ve been asked for marketing materials for Billionaire Wolf Christmas and that means cover art time.
Have a wonderfully magical day!

Sometimes doing the impossible is worth it! Sometimes it isn’t!
Okay, so my grass is dying out in patches and I couldn’t figure out why. I have an automatic sprinkler. I kept meaning to check it out, so this morning, I finally remembered, and guess what?
Yep, it was OFF. No wonder my grass is dying in patches. But at least it’s an easy fix. I couldn’t have auto sprinklers anywhere else I’ve lived, so as long as they work, and I’ve turned them on for auto…it’s great!
Maybe it will rain again though. 🙂
Have a wonderful day!

Tiger says he doesn’t even want to hear about another cat shifter story that is about a big cat other than him. I took this picture of the tiger at the San Diego Zoo. Isn’t he beautiful?
A Very Jaguar Christmas is coming in October.
Have a great night!
I’m home and that means back to the writing!!! But it was a lovely trip. I needed the break!
