I have a million things to do today, but first is to finish typing up my scene on Protecting the White Bear and then start writing more scenes. So excited.

So much stuff is going on, it’s hard to blog at my regular time, first thing in the morning.
It’s foggy here in Houston and my daughter tells me we’re getting another cold front in.
I’m on the 4th day of chemo pills and after the initial day of nausea and high fevers, taking the other pills have been fine. The problem is coordinating meals with taking the pills. No eating an hour before these 2 pills or two hours after, and then you have to eat with this pill, and then no eating an hour before taking the last pill. The last one is easy because I eat dinner early and it has to be taken 12 hours from the first pill that was taken.
So then you have to order your meals, and if you’re late–you’re getting an EKG, and vitals taken, etc and finally can order the meal, everything is thrown off schedule. And sometimes the kitchen sends up food after a half hour, but sometimes an hour and a half later. So it is a real juggling act.
But I’m hopeful that the chemo is working on the cancer and that I will be my usual perky self, even better, since this has gone on for 2 years, once I’m done.

I took a cough decongestant the night before last that had an antihistamine in it. Big mistake. Yes, I slept for several hours, but then the whole day until that night I felt soooooo groggy.
But I was still coughing last night until 3 and finally gave in to taking a different one. I did not take an antihistamine, and that was much better. I still only had about 4 hours of sleep, but I feel much clearer-headed.
I’m off to try and finish preparing Stolen Highland Dreams for publication. Vellum has been so wonderful, but only accessible on Mac. But with updates, when I import a mss, everything is all screwed up chapter-wise. I tried to fix it last night, but after 3 failed attempts, hoped I would do better today.
Ran in to get more cough medicine. Off to work on the book and HOPE I can get it done today.

I managed to get 2,000 words on Protecting the Wolf and up to chapter 19 on What a Wolf Wants yesterday. Off to the dentist early this morning, then have little one here, so it’s my slow if not no writing day. lol

A little winter whimsy. Doesn’t the puppy look like he could use a hug?
I’ve been working on Wolf Pack to turn it into a novel from a novella. It’s completely rewritten and three and a half times longer. I hope to have it available soon.

My morning routine is to create some fun artwork before I get my morning on. Or, that starts my morning, I guess.
What is your favorite drink for cold winter days? I used to drink ice tea for anytime. When I was in NYC in winter, they wouldn’t serve me ice tea in a restaurant!
At some point, I switched to hot tea and that’s what I drink. Sometimes lattes–peppermint mocha, but it’s so high in calories and sugar, which is what makes it taste so good, that that is for really special occasions.
Hope you’re keeping toasty warm on wintry days, but if you’re in more moderate climates, hope you’re staying nice and cool!

In the real world, I was working on the latest Highland story. It has a paranormal touch, but no shifters. I haven’t published one in 7 years, so it’s time. It’s up to 46K. I would have written longer last night, but I have to take care of little one this morning, so needed some sleep.
