We had issues with rats this morning, dogs caught one. Tanner wouldn’t let it go. I had a drs. appt to go to. Time was running out. lol He wanted to bring the dead rat in the house. I finally took their dog food and was going to give them some outside, but they barged inside, luckily without the rat.

I put the rat out with the trash, fed them, and made it to my appt on time. lol

Alligator with an Eye on You!

I took the photo of the alligator at the birding reserve on South Padre Island. They also had baby alligators and owls. It was a fun place. I had a blast.

Some of the alligators were raised there, but wild alligators would show up in the marshlands also. All of them are dangerous!

Okay, I’ve been working on Bear in Pursuit. I’m working on finishing it up. I keep thinking about where I’m going with it.

My grandson is staying with me and we’ve had a wonderful time. He turned 5! And we opened birthday presents, took a walk, got ice cream, read stories, and watched a kid’s program.

When we picked up my mail, I had a box of bulbs. Ack. So I need to plant those. And I mistakenly ordered bright white solar lights for the front yard, but already had soft yellow out there. Our mission is to plant the bulbs and move the white lights to the backyard, put together the yellow ones, and put them out front.

I’m fortunate that both my grandkids love to help grandma with projects. I got him a new pair of monster garden gloves so he can wear those for our next gardening adventure.

Off to get things done before he wakes! Have fun!

He was coming down off his perch at the Omaha Zoo when I captured a shot of him.

Today is blood work day and I’m hoping my counts aren’t too low. I have to give blood at two different locations, so I’m leaving early.

Happy National Gardening Day!

So I had planted the hostas, just love them, and ordered more. I have lilies, daylilies, and hostas that came in yesterday, so I’ll try to plant them.

I had to cut the sunshine ligustrum way back. As you can see, they’ve blocked out the sun for the grass and I have all moss there now. I need to clean my pavers too, but first is planting so I don’t lose all the bulbs. (41 of them) Also trimmed back ligustrum on the other side of the house, and I have a few more of them to trim back.

The chemo is really making me feel awful, but it’s not stopping me from getting things done.

And I reached word count on the book, still working on it to finish it!

Fresh Egg! And Chives From My Garden

First, I feel AWFUL. But the good news is that my hash browns and fresh egg and chives were delicious. But I’m just feeling bad from the chemo.

I’m going to take some pictures of the garden. Some flowers are out, some are on their way.

A Dragon Run Town?

So I have wolf run towns, cougar run towns, and a polar bear town, but dragon towns? Hmmm…

The chemo is getting to me. I did manage to do some yardwork, but I’m struggling to finish the book. I need to get my car safety inspected so I can renew my car registration today, but I’m hoping once that’s done, I can get to work on the book. I just feel horribly nauseous.

I’m off to pick up some of the clippings of the shrubs and liroipe grass I made yesterday now that it’s light out enough. But the temperature dropped and I’m cold!

Getting ready to put out Easterish stuff for the hunt. We got 2″ of rain last night. We so needed it. With all the new plantings, it meant everything was thoroughly soaked. Yay!

Okay, I’m Grumpy

This is my bed and why do I have to share it with a lamb?

I’ll probably be put back on chemo pills today, not looking forward to it. And I have to wait 4 hours between appts to see the doctor, so I’m like the cat. Not very happy about it. Sitting in a hospital for 4 extra hours waiting to see the doctor is not only not fun, but with flu levels so high, it’s not safe for those of us with low immune systems. 🙁

Have a non-grumpy day! I’m trying to make mine non-grumpy by writing on the book and hopefully will get something done. Sometimes it’s hard to concentrate. But hopefully my blood counts will be higher today.
