I finished Wolf on the Wild Side! I need to do a long synopsis of it while it’s fresh in my mind. I do want to start on the next Highland wolf book, but need to give it some thought.
I’ll probably play with something I’ve started.
My daughter brought over 5 tomato plants, but we have a freeze for tonight, so they’ll go out for part of today and then be back inside. We also have wind and storms, so I’ll have to make sure they don’t blow over and lose all their soil.

Dragonflies are supposed to be good luck. They eat bad bugs so I’d say so.
I managed to get through 10 chapters of proofing yesterday. Hope to finish up the rest of it on Friday. Yay! Next book is the Highland wolf book, though I don’t know what I’m going to write on that one yet. I’ve been thinking about it in the back of my mind, but I need to concentrate on this one and make sure I don’t leave anything out.

I think I finished Wolf on the Wild Side. I’m doing edits this morning, then switching to read mode and reading it all the way through. Which means more edits, but I think the book is completely written. Yay!
I’m off to do that. We had 2″ of rain, colder temps and get to 62 today by late afternoon. I’m looking forward to a warm up. But you know how it is.Then it will be well over the 100s and I’ll be wishing it was cooler.
In this art challenge, we were supposed to have scribbles that followed a diagonal line and text that did too. Blocks of text also. And repetitive photos with different blend modes. I chose to do mine with flamingos because they mate for life and used a love theme. The two major words say crush and hug. And I was attempting an X–the symbol for kiss on mine with the diagonal text and scribbles. I took the photo of the flamingos at the San Diego Zoo. They were standing on their nests.
Little one is here and so I’m trying to get breakfast made and feed the birds, etc. The temperature dropped from 83 to 47 today. It will only get to 51 today. Weirder weather, I tell you. 🙂 The norm will no longer be the norm, I’m afraid.
We had to use lyrics from a song and create an image. I thought of a couple of others, but this one I really liked because I have so many pictures of tigers that I’ve taken.
It was really warm this morning, going to get to 83 and then temps are dropping. So I need to get out and do some yard work but now I’ll be dealing with fire ants too.
Finally up to 79K on Wolf on the Wild Side, which has nothing to do with luck but a lot of work! lol
Finished the print cover for Vexing the Highlander and uploaded it. Sometimes I wonder what I’m doing that all my time is gone and I feel I haven’t accomplished much of anything, but I really have! I keep thinking of next books…the sequel to the Wolf Wore Plaid, the sequel to Vexing the Highlander, finishing Bear in Mind…so many stories, so little time.
I’m off to work on Wolf. Then babysitting duty so the kids can garden, but then we’ll also have lunch.

I won another art contest at Oscraps! 🙂 I’m working on some more–having fun. So yesterday we had a blast. I managed a little editing on Wolf on the Wild Side. Today, I’m working on more editing. The book is “done” but still trying to reach word count and doing more editing, fleshing out scenes, etc. Only 1400 words until word count. I really like it when I have the book written from beginning to end and really this is the most fun part.
My next deadline book is the Highland wolf one, so I need to write on that. I also want to do a million others. Of course. lol
I’m still working on the new print cover for Vexing the Highlander, the novella, so I’ll have that done today. I always feel more self-actualized (a term I learned in psychology class)–when I accomplish something. Like cutting down the holly tree volunteers that were shading out a beautiful rosebush and sunshine ligustrum that needed more sun to really grow. Isn’t that always the way though? You plant something, and it barely grows. You plant some more things and then voila, the plant that would barely grow is taking over and so is everything else and on top of that, volunteer plants have decided to join the crowd.
I love plants, so I really don’t like to have to cut any down. I did just cut the lower branches off the one holly and left the top to continue to grow upward. But I had some pine trees that grew from seeds too right near it, so they’ll all be competing with one another soon also.
Love fairies though most of the ones in my books do not have wings. I do have a group of winged fae and ones that shift into wolves too.
We have a wild day scheduled today, grocery shopping, shipping books, looking for birthday shorts sets and then back home again to do arts and crafts, workbooks and reading. But first, we’re having cinnamon rolls, walking to the mailbox and around the block.
So I’ve been playing around with the art challenges on Oscraps and this was one of them. Color Play.

Today, I’m working on Wolf on the Wild Side. I got a 1,000 words yesterday, wanted 2,000, but I was rereading Vexing the Highlander before I put it up on ACX for narration for an audio book. I needed to revise my biography and put it in the same font as His Wild Highland Lass, then I’ll upload them today and get back to work on Wolf.
I’m also cutting down some holly trees that have sprouted up on their own and are trying to take over all the other plants in their vicinity!
