Amid the growing crisis ongoing, I wish everyone luck, good health, and a means to survive financially. I’m glad to see some helping others out in this crisis.

In the meantime, I’m TRYING to stay focused on my writing. Still can’t come up with the opening or the plot for the new book. Still working on Seducing the Vampire–up to 28,000 words on it.

Try to have a sense of humor to help you get through the crisis.

An alternative to Kleenix–washable hankies. I ordered them from Amazon and they got here in a couple of days.

An alternative to paper napkins–washable cloth napkins. I’ve had those forever, and they last forever.

I’m still weeding and planting plants that I bought a few days ago and trimming back crape myrtles to train them into trees. I’m trying to stay home as much as possible until I run out of food.

I’m NEARLY finished with Vampire Redemption! Turned in Highland Wolf yesterday. But I’m going to the plant place, still looking for a couple of red azaleas. I just saw that the braided hibiscus has yellow flowers too. So it has red, yellow and pink. Just as pretty as can be. Now if it will only survive.

Happy Friday the 13th!

Remember how I said I bought a hibiscus tree that had pink flowers for my granddaughter? Well, it’s a braided tree and this morning it had red and orange ones too. Woohoo! The only bad thing is that it’s supposed to be fussy about things. I don’t do fussy.

Schools are closed all this week for Spring Break, but now they’re going to be closed all next week also because of the coronavirus situation.

I feel for China and Italy and everywhere else where this is so hard hit. We might be too. We just don’t know.

Mushrooms were day 6 (the egg is buried under them). I was reading about how you should eat slowly, drink water before getting seconds so you feel fuller, use a smaller plate (I think that’s a great idea), eat 5 vegetable servings a day…hmm, I usually eat 3. And basically, break habit routines. Mine is eating dessert after a meal. I don’t need it. I’m full. Yet I crave it. So I need to break that habit.

I’m halfway through proofing Vampire Redemption. And the taxes are ready to go to the accountant, yay! And I need to start autographing books to go readers and get them ready to ship. I already received the promo stuff for the Billionaire story coming out in May, so I need to start writing those blogs. But also, I have the 10th Anniversary release of Legend of the White Wolf coming out THIS MONTH, so I need to get on that. I’m waiting on the other beta reader’s comments for Highland Wolf so I can edit it and proof it one last time and turn it in. Then I’m off to write Red Wolf.

Back to proofing on Vampire Redemption. It’s the long-awaited sequel to Huntress for Hire.

I Want to Garden!

My daughter brought over a tomato plant she started from seed. It’s the biggest one she has and she doesn’t know how it got that big when all the rest are still just little. So I’m excited to make it grow really big!

I took my granddaughter to the store to get a little jacket because she keeps getting dropped off with no warm clothes and it’s cold in the mornings, oftentimes. Of course, we had to take home flowers. My favorite are purple, hers are pink. So you can tell which she picked. She also liked the red and yellow ones that looked like a darker pink.

Well, I’m still continuing with a different vegetable every day. I picked up some corn on the cob and fresh spinach for a couple of the days.

I’m off to do the despicable taxes. I keep telling myself: And this too shall pass. IF I keep working at it and GET IT DONE.

I want to write. And garden.

Oh, oh, oh, I got the copies of 10th Anniversary release of Legend of the White Wolf, releasing this month. The 10th anniversary copies have been delayed every release, so I’m excited to get them in early so I can take pictures and do promo.

Okay, back to the taxes. I swear every year I will do these earlier, but I must admit I believe this is the earliest I’ve ever done them.

VegOut Day 3 & a Walk to Vote

It turned out to be a beautiful day and a 2 1/2 mile walk on the way to vote and back. I took pictures of flowers, squirrels, a great blue heron, green herons, snowy egrets and a great egret, and turtles.

I managed to edit 9 more chapters, but still have 5 chapters and an epilogue to go, and little one will be here today in a half hour. At 5 am, I was spreading weed and feed granules. Yes, in the dark. In the light rain. It’s supposed to pour rain in a couple of hours, so I figured it was time to do it before my granddaughter gets here. I was pulling tons of weeds yesterday. You’d think I’d finally get a handle on it. But nope! And all my lilies and daylilies are appearing out of the ground. Soon, they will flower.

Off to edit a little bit before it’s too late and I can’t!

Added broccoli for the day 2 vegetable!

I took the picture of the butterfly on flowers last year on my walk to vote. It might rain later, so I’ve got to walk to the school to vote early. It’s about a mile walk or more, and I always take my camera.

Okay, I’m halfway done with proofing Highland Wolf. I’m really thrilled with the book so far.

I won’t even say what happened after I wrote the whole book and my editor saw the synopsis and said…no, not going to say it. And can he have…no. Not going to mention it. Taking out …no. Grinding teeth. Growling like a wolf. No…no…

I’m beginning to sound like my nearly 3-year-old granddaughter. “No nap. No time out. No hug.” I finally got the hug, cuddled her against my shoulder, and she relaxed, and she took her nap. lol But man, was it work.

So I’m back to proofing. Yay!! I love this book and I hope my readers do too.

Unicorn Love

So I go to the dentist for a teeth cleaning and learn I have calcium deposits in the saliva gland on the floor of my mouth. Of course it’s rare to have it under your tongue. Why not?

So my day was to write, instead I have to go in for oral surgery this morning. ugh. And tomorrow I have little one again, so that day is going to essentially be a non-writing day, even though it isn’t supposed to be either. *sigh*

Still Battling a Head Cold

Need to get my writing done today. I was thinking, probably with a cold-congested head, that my granddaughter and the corgis would be here tomorrow, but nope! They will be here this afternoon through the weekend, so that means I need to get ready, get my writing done early, and be prepared.

I coughed all night last night and all day yesterday, so still battling this cold.
