When You Go to the Grocery Store and…

Plants jump into your basket. Most are mums, some Turk’s Cap and a sweet tomato plant.

I’m off to work now and will try and plant these tomorrow in the morning before the sun is too strong.

Do plants ever jump into your cart when you hadn’t planned on taking any home???

Blue Jay Drinking at the Fountain

When the fountain wasn’t working, I was so disappointed. All the birds flock to it.

I reached 9,000 on Wolfish! I hope to make the novella about 30K.

Today and tomorrow, and Friday I have drs appointments. It looks like Thurs we have off and hopefully the weekend.

Hope your day is going fine!

Replaced My Ceramic Bird Bath

With a plastic one after a raccoon destroyed my ceramic one. It works great and I’m happy to have it. I put the remnants of the ceramic one in the flowerbeds to look like broken shards in a Roman garden. 🙂

I’m not feeling well today, nauseous and couldn’t sleep at all last night. I’m taking a nausea pill before breakfast to hopefully help me keep down my meal. One of the pills I’m taking twice a day causes nausea. Or it could be from Graft Host Disease due to the transplant.

Otherwise, I’m nearly to 6,000 words on Wolfish, the Halloween novella. I plan on about 30,000 words. So a nice start. Both Wolf Heir and Tashama are with my beta readers.

Hope you are feeling bright and chipper. My daughter and granddaughter are sick so it’s a good thing my son is here. I can’t be around anyone who is sick.

Gerbera Daisy

I love gardens. They’re an extension of your home in a lush, green, and colorful way. I experiment all the time with planting plants in various locations, and I finally figured out that the gerbera daisy I planted in this spot comes back every year without fail. Sooooo, I’m going to try and plant a whole bunch of them in this spot to make a colorful bed of them and hopefully, they will come back. Why didn’t I think of that before?????

I’m still feeling weak. I know it’s all the little stem cells growing. And my blood counts aren’t normal yet. But I’m eager to get there. I’m eating a little better. But the cupboards and fridge are bare after me being gone for 5 weeks.

My son is here and we’re going to the grocery store after drs. appointments today.

Hope your day is filled with gardens and beautiful things.

Everyone Needs a Fairy Garden

A fairy garden would ensure that all the flowers had the best nutrition and the right amount of water, and they would bloom and bloom and bloom.

I love fantasy worlds. Don’t you?

Have an amazing day!!!

Yellow Roses Transplanted Last Year

Miniature Yellow Roses–I had transplanted it last year to a sunnier location. But it spit in two, so I have two yellow rosebushes now. The other is in a different location.

I finished editing Protecting the White Bear last night, but want to do a final proofread. And I’m on the run again.

Have a super fun day for me!

The Mums are Emerging!

They’re not just for fall. I enjoy them in the spring and summer too. And the orange mums are just beginning to make their appearance!

I ended up writing 3,000 words on Wolf Heir yesterday, and so it’s up to 11K now. Yay!

I’ll work on Protecting the White Bear again today to try and get more of the edits done. I need to finish it!

I hope your weekend has been spectacular!

Garlic Onions in the Garden!

I planted them, then we had the freeze, but they are doing great! A friend sent them, so I’m excited about them making it. I had them sitting on my counter for half a year, because it had been too hot to plant them at the time.

I had such plans this morning, ship a bunch more books, grocery store, etc, and then I remembered I have the annual AC inspection. Ugh. Of course when are they coming? Eight to 12. Nice way to narrow it down.

Okay, I’m off to autograph more books and plant that miniature rosebush! Done! It’s raining so planted the flower seeds and next is fertilizing the grass. I was autographing last night until I was worn out. lol

Have a beautiful day!

Foxglove-Poisonous and Pretty

I tried to grow it once. They really are pretty. But they are poisonous. Took the photo in Massachusetts at the House of the Seven Gables garden.

I didn’t get anything written on Highland Wolf yesterday, had both kids and then pilates. And I was working on video book trailers for Highland Bound and Mated for Christmas. Oh, and pictures of the family when we went to New Hampshire.

Off to get ready for my granddaughter’s arrival. I think I’m feeling well enough to take her swimming. I’m still really congested, but the pool will be closing soon when the kids go back to school. I wish it was open longer since it’s soooo hot longer. But the lifeguards go back to school also.

Have a delightfully fun day!

Coneflowers–Another Favorite

I grew these from seeds, and I have another couple in different areas. But with our hot, hot, humid, hot Texas heat, they do great in a little bit of shade. I have one that is in a lot of shade now and it’s not as profuse, just getting ready to bloom (old one, maybe about 6 years old and the seeds planted before the rosebush grew so big beside it). And another that I planted that is in full sun, that is still working on presenting flowerbuds. I planted the seeds for that one and the other that is pictured above this year. I love how their centers stretch to the sky in little golden mounds and their petals hang down. They’re such sweet little flowers. And they don’t mind the heat and sun and drought. Though a little shade and watering they welcome at this time of year.

I’m off to get ready for my next adventure. Barely got any writing in yesterday, but added a few descriptive items on Wolf Bound. It’s at 85K now.

Have a grand adventurous day!
