I taped up the glass wings and then my granddaughter painted the rusty butterfly, claiming it for her own, of course. Besides the fairy garden ornaments I got her when she was 4, she has claimed my large fairy, that we both painted, and we took some old rusty metal flowers–the one in blue in this flowerbed–and painted them.
She does have two bell pepper plants and a tomato plant, some flower seedlings coming up.
I finished painting, I think, the bistro set. Every time I look at it, it has more spots I missed. But we’re getting rain this afternoon, supposedly, so I’m trying to finish that up.
And I need to replace the ligustrum around the electric boxes. I need to pull out the dead ones though. We’re celebrating my grandson’s birthday today with lunch and presents and the zoo tomorrow, so….I need to get busy to get more things done!
Have a terrific day!!!

So they say it’s good to have dandelions in the yard because they’re often the first to flower for the bees, but when my grandkids want to blow the powder puff seed balls, I tell them they have to do them far away from my yard! We do it at one of the ponds, just in case you’re wondering if we blow them in other people’s yards! lol We don’t.
My granddaughter is off from school today, so we’re going to home depot to look at plants. Some that the housing development planted around our electric boxes died last winter. Before I get an HOA warning, I need to replace them, but I’ll get something as tiny as I can so that I don’t have to dig much just in case wires and stuff are there. My one neighbor and I share the electric boxes, but some of his made it, some didn’t.
And it’s an ice cream day because whenever my granddaughter is off from school, we go get one. We did it with my grandson the one day they were off this month together.
I’m still painting garden stuff. Got a little more done yesterday and started writing Wolf Bound, The Greystoke Wolf Pack, Book 1, which will be Bella and Devlyn’s wolf pack.
Okay, got to get busy before my granddaughter gets here. I can’t believe she’ll be out of school soon.
Have a totally awesome day!

This is another friend’s beautiful cat. She was actually looking up at Christmas balls, so I created this composite instead.
Another day of potty training, painting rusty objects–started on a black bistro set, but need more paint. My granddaughter wanted me to paint the chairs and table all different colors. lol I could have, but I am trying for a more unified look.
Trying to remember which story I wrote that the she-wolf picked up the wrong suitcase and it was full of counterfeit money. I’ve written over a 100 stories for the last twenty years so I remember a lot of details, but my publisher changes my titles, sooooo…. It probably was a novella, but it might not have been. It was with the Greystoke Pack (Bella and Devlyn, I believe). But I want to learn who the mated wolves are in the story so I don’t remate them to someone else accidentally!!!
Off to get ready for little one.
Have a glorious day!

Created from a bunch of different clip art sources and Daily Texture background.
A bee chased me in the yard the other day. I was trying to plant one of the dying miniature rosebushes from Walmart and at first, I just ignored him like I do all bees because I know they’re pollinating my flowers, including the tomato plants and bell pepper plants and they’re good to have around. But I couldn’t ignore this one because it was chasing me. I dropped the flower pot and ran backwards until I was far enough away. I’m not even sure why it was being territorial, no beehives around, no flowers even that it could sup from.
When I went back to rescue my plant and planted the rose in the ground, the bee was gone. But I was inspired to make this multi-layered artwork of busy bees because of it.
And great news–The Wolf of My Eye is done and I’m turning it in this morning. I have pilates also. I’m trying to do 2 days a week now. And nope, I’m not getting any better at it. lol
Hope the bees just pollinate your flowers and don’t chase you around the yard.

The more I look in my garden for garden ornaments that have been hidden by growing plants or just sitting out but not even noticeable any longer because of their rusty appearance, the more I find to paint.
I have little one today, and working on potty training some more. I read where you could train them in 3 days. But it has be a concerted, concentrated effort.
Okay, back to the business of reading stories to a pre-schooler!
Have a lovely day!

Isn’t he elegant? My friend took him in and I had fun creating this composite.
I think I had 8 chapters left to edit on The Wolf of My Eye. I’ve finished 19 of them. I had hoped to finish it this weekend, but I was at a Barbie birthday party all day Saturday, so I only managed to get 8 more chapters whittled down yesterday.
I’m off to do some more before I go to pilates for some more torture and then home to concentrate on the Highland wolf book for the rest of the day!
Hope you are enjoying your day.

Dane hunts down rogue vampires and is on a mission when he is ambushed and pays the price. Jacqueline Anderson also hunts rogue vampires, loses to a vampire, and fights her attraction to the hunter when she has her own demons to battle. For the two of them, they’ve lost friends and gained new ones, but they’re ready to right some wrongs while they’re being targeted by hunters who should be on their side.
It’s kill or be killed. Jacqueline is determined not to fall for Dane while he’s head over heels over her and ready to take this further. But they also have to take care of the threat that’s aimed just at them and others like them and learn just who set him up to be ambushed in the first place. Time is running out before those who want them dead manage to get their way.
Sometimes your day just doesn’t go as planned. What do you do? Make the most of it! Forget vampires for us today. We’re off to a Barbie birthday with Girl Scouts! Well, after I do some more edits and maybe move another shrub or two.
Have a terrific day!

I was playing around with some artwork I had done, but it wasn’t nearly this nice. The dragon is from midjourney, girl from Daz3D, background, bokeh, flying flecks of gold, and some of her hair was added. Plus I worked on her eyes to make them pop a bit.
Okay, I’m off to work on edits!
Have a beautiful Friday!!

I bought these 2 dying plants from Walmart at a discount. The pink one is still pretty sad. The red one you can see is doing great from the first picture in its new home. Also, the two yellow rosebushes are doing well after transplanting them. I had hoped I hadn’t killed them, but the summer heat can really take its toll too. So for now, they’re doing well.
I also transplanted these volunteer ferns from another location, hoping they would fill in these shady areas and keep the dogs from bothering the neighbors’ dogs. I want to move even more, but they’re a real job and a half to move.
Okay, I’m off and running. I finished proofing Huntress Unleashed, getting ready to publish it and then work on the edits on Wolf of My Eye, but need to run to pilates first.
Hope your day is grand!

This is the first daylily to flower and it’s a brand new one. I love their sunny disposition and they put out a new flower daily. There are lots of seedlings in the box, hurry up, flowers, arise from the fertile soil and let us know what you are! It was a mixed bag of perennial flower seeds. But I’m ready to just plant a bunch of annuals to give it some NOW color. I’m trying to be patient. I think the grandkids are more patient than me.
I’m working on proofing Huntress Unleashed, halfway done. I hope to have it finished before the weekend. I’m serving as the photographer for my granddaughter’s Girl Scout birthday party this weekend. And I will be working some more on The Wolf of My Eye, the Highland wolf book coming out next year. I should have that done next week. I also updated the cover for the Golden Fae. I need to redo the audio book covers for all of these that I’ve redone, but it’s more of a hassle to upload them. Maybe they’re easier now. I just need to create them.
Golden Fae
(The World of Fae, Book 8)
How does the Golden Fae get into big time trouble with one fiery dragon? When playing with fire…
All the golden fae wanted to do was to pick mushrooms for her mother—in the forbidden dragon fae territory, but Kayla sees dragons practicing for their games, and she gets caught at it. She loses her locket that she needs to have when she comes of age in just a couple of weeks so she can keep her magic as a lavender grower for the golden fae. Only now, one highly annoying dragon shifter fae has got it, and she will do anything to get it back.
Alton can’t believe it when the golden fae arrives at his friend’s castle wearing the dragon fae aura now! But he has a mission to go on, save a human and a dragon fae in the human world, and Kayla ends up there offering to help—anything to get him to give her locket back to her. Only a fae seer shoots him with an iron bolt, and Kayla risks everything, trying to get him and the captured maid safely back home again.
Now he will do almost anything to learn the mysterious golden fae’s secrets, and protect her from his own kind at all costs.
Okay, I’m off to get ready for little one. It has been storming ALL morning long from 1 on. I love storms, as long as we don’t have tornadoes and damaging hail. Of course the dogs hate the thunder. They won’t go outside in this until it stops. Some areas in Texas have had hail the size of eggs or tennis balls, not good.
The rain is supposed to be stopping in about an hour. But all my new plants needed it, so I was thrilled. Hope you have a delightfully lovely day!
