Macro This

Don’t you love the beauty of nature? The summer flowers are flowering in winter.

I won’t be able to write for 3 days, sigh, but I’m nearly to the halfway point on SEAL Wolf Team to the Rescue. Hopefully, I can finish it this week!

It’s like writing a Macro Novel. A novella. So much fun.

Have a super day!

Flowers Blooming Before Christmas & Woodland Fae is Out!

I noticed gerbera daisies blooming the day baby was here so ran out to take some pictures yesterday. The droplets of water on them are from the heavy fog we had.

Lavender lantana, gerbera daisy, yellow daylily, dianthus next to the Christmas lights, and another daisy.

The flowers don’t know it’s winter and time for them to sleep.

Baby’s here for one more day before my daughter has school break and then Grandma gets a break! Or…well, more time to write and edit.

And just released!!!

Woodland Fae

Letta is a scorpion fae, pretending to be a woodland fae, since her own kind had practically annihilated their own. She’s come of age and must leave her kind behind to make her way in the world. Taking refuge in a cave during a storm in wolf fae territory, she’s attacked by a wolf shifter fae and saves another’s life, who happens to be the pack leader’s sister. But now Letta has a new problem. The bite she’d received turns her into a wolf shifter also, but will the wolf fae pack accept her or scorn her for being one of the deadly scorpion fae if they learn the truth?

Simon is the pack leader for the Wolf Mountain pack and he’s unsure what kind of fae Letta is, not having heard of a woodland fae before. Yet he’s attracted to Letta like he’s never been to a she-wolf before. That causes dissent among some of his wolves who believe another wolf should be his mate and he must prove to his pack that he has what it takes to lead.

I’m still waiting on the link for Barnes and Noble, and I’m working on the print version and still writing Claiming the White Bear. But baby will be here momentarily, so I’ll have to put off all of this until later.

Have a lovely day!!!

The Secret Garden…

Zinnia–flower nearly out, first one. Dianthus, neighbor’s, in the sun. Coneflowers, first ones, and then the next. They look so different, yet, they’re all the same.

The Secret Garden:

You might think of a hideaway garden, a sitting spot in the center of a hedge maze, somewhere that few know about it. A place where you can share…secrets.

Not mine. It means a garden filled with mystery plants–what color flower will this be? What kind of flower is this? Is it a WEED? The secrets are only for the plants to tell…if I can wait long enough.

That’s what my Secret Garden is!

I have a million things to do today.  So I’m off to do them. Made word count! Need to make it again!

Have a wonderful, secret garden kind of day!

I’m Eclectic! Are You?

Spider lily has two blossoms now. They’re supposed to be rebloomers. I think the one next to it is one also. I haven’t decided what the low-growing plant is. It looks like something I must have planted, but it just keeps spreading, and that’s it. 🙂 The dianthus were especially perky, and look at the little woodland fern that just peeked out from its shady spot! I’ve never had much success with planting ferns, and since I don’t have a lot of shade in the garden, I wasn’t about to plant any here. But…it came up on its very own–native from the old forest, and so it’s welcome! They remind me of the years I lived in Oregon.

And now about being eclectic.

I realized not only am I an eclectic reader, movie watcher. I’m an eclectic gardener, decorator, photographer, and writer.

What this means is for me, I like diversity in all things. I want to have a lot of different flowers or other kinds of plants in the garden. It makes it interesting–to me. And for photographing, lots more fun. I like to take photos of all kinds of different things, not just landscapes, or wildlife, or people. I like to write in all different fields–historical romance: western, Highland; comedy romance; paranormal romance: shifters, psychics; futuristic romance; young adults: paranormal, fantasy…

And decorating? I don’t have one theme.

I’ve always been an eclectic reader, and I realized that it pertains to most areas of my life. A lot of greats–great photographers, writers, etc., have a specialty that makes them very knowledgeable in what they write, or the best techniques to use in their photography. They write only historicals, or only take portraits, or specialize in landscapes and they become renown. Everyone knows them for this special talent.

But all of us are different. I will never be great, but for me, I like diversity. It keeps my stories fresh. It provides more interesting photos at any time–when all I have time for is a quick jaunt outside. I need different to stimulate creativity.

What about you?

I made up my word count! That means I’ve finished 52,000, 28K to go, woohoo!

Baby’s due here any moment, and if she’s not having stomach problems, I’ll take us on a grocery shopping trip. I’m feeling better! And I’ve lost 4 lbs. Which is great. Now if I can keep it off! I lost 5 lbs from the last flu she gave me a couple of weeks ago, and I didn’t regain them! Making progress! Not that that’s the way to do it, mind you!

Have a great day, whether it’s eclectic, or more…organized, enjoy life to its fullest. 🙂 <3

Storms and Flowers

All that grumbling last night, thunder galore. Did it rain? I don’t think so. We had 80-100% chance all day yesterday…but although we had all kinds of thunder, I think my grass is wet because of the sprinklers. The roads are completely dry.

But it is cool this morning, so that’s wonderful!

Pictures above are a rose covered arbor, dianthus,  peach roses, a rosebush trained against a fence and my storm clouds. The rose and dianthus are mine. The arbor and the rose against the fence were at Hope Farms.

Maybe I can plant my plants this morning. Or not. I need to get back to the edits.

One of the Silver Town wolves’ stories.

I finished most of my promo blogs for Between a Wolf and a Hard Place–coming April 4th! Another Silver Wolf tale. Need to finish one more of the promo blogs this morning, taxes are done, Dreaming of the White Wolf Christmas edits are done, Flight of the White Wolf is with beta readers, and that means????

Next up is Sarandon Silver’s story. So I need to figure out what I’m going to write on that one. 🙂  And I need to proof Galaxy Warrior’s print book. My daughter is due any day now and so I thought while I’m waiting on her to have the baby, it would make for a great time to proof the book. Or not. 🙂

But in the meantime, I wanted to share the sale price on Alpha Wolf Need Not Apply, the book normally selling for $7.99.

And here are some pictures I took of flowers I’ve planted or are coming back from last year.

So I was taking pictures of fog this morning before I jump on the promo blog this morning. Hope you have a flower-filled day!  Mine is cool beans foggy.
