I had them all! I shot the moon from the window at one point because two green alien moons appeared and I wondered how it would appear in a shot. lol The object next to the clear shot of the moon is the lamp light you see in the one picture as the moon rose in the sky and now the light was on.
Hope you howled at the moon! It’s Monday, and baby is coming, and I forgot to put out the garbage. Off to do it! Oh, it’s a holiday, maybe no garbage pickup. Hmmm
Have a super wonderful day while I figure out if we put out the garbage or not!
Blood Moon, Luna Eclipse, Wolf Moon–that’s tonight and I’ve got to try and capture it if I can. I took these last night before the sun set. In the one picture, I was shooting through the tree branches, trying to capture the airliner as it was flying by the moon before it was gone! Then when it was gone, I moved over to get a clearer shot of the moon.
So I began work in earnest on the Wolff brother story, still need to come up with a title. I finally figured out her occupation, which means lots of research. I spent most of yesterday searching for information. It’s a new idea! Fresh idea! For me! And that’s what’s so important to me, to make every story new and different in some way. I think I might have about 80 books out now and so coming up with something nice and original can be a challenge. I had to do some research into her former occupation, and the way that the guy “died” that she is investigating–so lots and lots of new things to learn. I have 10 sites open, and my computer is running like a snail on sleeping pills. Even though I’m up way before dawn, it’s taken me this long just to be able to open my blog page.
A million scenarios are going through my mind, now that I kinda know where I’m headed, but that means more research and more research, and man, is the world of crime fascinating. lol But also, researching about rescues, and all kinds of interesting stuff. Even the layout of a ski lodge to use for describing the one in my story. One thing about writing stories for me, I get to learn all kinds of things all the time. All new to me.
I just hope no one ever searches my browsing history. It appears that I’m getting ready to commit a crime! Tons of different kinds of crimes! If one doesn’t work, I’ll try another. Did I ever mention the hullabaloo that a couple caused in the writing community one time? They claimed they were writing stories and doing all this research for committing the crimes in their stories. And were arrested! Computers confiscated! Browser history used as evidence! Many writers who learned of it became paranoid, were outraged! BUT, then it came out that the couple were really engaged in criminal activities!
I may not be able to experience everything in real life that I write about, though I have skied and enjoyed visits to ski lodges (one of my favorite with the hot tubs outside and the snow surrounding them, the cliched St. Bernard sleeping by the fire inside, etc, etc.), and I’ve been to Colorado skiing (Telluride and Breckenridge) and visiting a number of times, to Vermont (Killington) skiing, Pennsylvania skiing, to New Mexico skiing, and not skiing, but visiting the ski lodge at Mt. Hood, Oregon, and swimming in a pool that was indoor/ outdoor, with the snow on the deck around the pool outside after a day of skiing in Colorado. Even skiing to our room. It’s fun to share the scenarios in books and hope that readers enjoy a new fun world too.
I haven’t been keeping up with my word count, 2,000 words a day, but playing catch up daily. I’m at nearly 4,000 words. Should be 6,000 by today. Hopefully, today I can catch up and stay caught up, now that I’ve done a bit of my research. But I also opened up my document to begin formatting the print version of Claiming the White Bear.
Hope you get a fun glimpse of the blood red wolf moon today!!!
A Romeo-Juliet type family feud, polar bear style, tore them apart; can they find true love again?
It’s nearly Christmas, no tours on the schedule for Edward MacMathan and his brother and so they’re working in their uncle and aunt’s tavern when the love of Edward’s life returns with two young boys in tow, and they look a lot like him when he and Rob were that age. Robyn Conibear is in trouble and she’s fled her deceased mate’s sleuth to keep his parents from taking custody of her and Edward’s sons.
Can she and Edward renew the love they had for each other despite the six years that have passed? Or will her return only cause more grief between her family and his as the hostilities renew?
But Edward is the boys’ true father and she wants to be with him no matter what. Likewise, Edward is determined to protect her and the boys, both from her former mate’s sleuth and her own, and take up where the two of them had left off. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MXPH7ND
Kobo isn’t up yet. They’re having issues on their site with uploading new covers. As soon as it’s resolved, I’ll be uploading it. I’m working on the formatting for print and have to create the cover for print, but I also had to get started on the Wolff Brother story, 2,000 words a day, or I won’t meet my deadline.
And we had a violent storm last night, high winds, still having high winds this morning, and the neighbor behind me had tree limbs split off from his tree that were tossed through the wind onto my patio, knocking over one of my plants, breaking one of my favorite garden fairies (my mother had given me) and so at 4 this morning I was rescuing my pot of chives. It’s still a mess. I’ll have to try and sweep off the dirt when it’s light out and ask my neighbor to help cut up the tree limbs. It was 62 this morning, but the temp is dropping 20 degrees and I can feel the change already just within the hour. Okay, I’m off to write and then format.
Hoping the storms that are hitting all over don’t affect you adversely! I know up north a lot of schools are out.
Circles are the building blocks of life. Yep. Think of it. Cells.
That’s my deep, deep thinking for today. I need to concentrate on my Wolff book thinking. I was brainstorming with one of my beta readers yesterday–I had an idea! And as we brainstormed and brainstormed and brainstormed, we were going around in circles. Trying to make it work was becoming a nightmare. I still love the concept. Maybe for another book.
So back to the drawing board. But, I’ve finished Claiming the White Bear and will work on formatting today for publication.
Onward and upward! Yesterday’s photography challenge was circles. Today’s photography challenge is hugs. Usually I can take one of baby hugging a soft, cuddly thing. So I’ll have to get creative since she’s not here today.
Is it Friday already??? The time is just flying! Have a wonderful day!!

So I managed to proof 9 chapters and a prologue yesterday, and I’m working to finish up the book today. Then formatting, and hopefully publishing the ebook by Sunday. The print will take a little longer for the proofing and I still need to make the cover.
But once this is done, I HAVE to start writing on the next Silver Town wolf book. Still trying to come up with an original idea. Each book has to be!
Today for 365 photography days, is circles, so I’ll take a picture of something later today, and tomorrow is hugs. If only I could get the dogs to hug each other. Baby hugs all her stuffed animals, but she won’t be here. So I’ll have to pose some stuffed animals without her.
I’m off and running! Hope you have a terrific day!!
Yesterday for 365 days of photos, it was hat day. Tanner tells Max to not look so glum because his hat looks much better than Tanner’s. And today was hot drink, so I made a cup of lemon lavender tea in my favorite Scottish cup. You can see the roses are still blooming.
Today we’ve tried having breakfast, coloring, toddler wearing grandma’s big fluffy socks, cleaning windows. And dusting. It’s only 8:48 am. What now?
So yesterday I did my annual physical. You answer a million questions on a notepad. Do you sleep? Do you eat? Are you anxious? (Uhm, when deadlines are hanging over my head and I’m still not there, a little) Do you doze off during work, lunch hour, movie time, stopping at traffic lights? Do you forget where things are? (Come on, like that doesn’t happen to all of us!) Do you forget names and faces? (Does it count when I’ve always been that way??? Or when I spell my characters’ names a myriad of different ways?)
Is it the writer in me that wants to answer these with qualifications?
Okay, back to working with baby. Have a terrific day!!!
You know how particular cats are! Thanks to my cat lovers and fans for sending me their adorable cat photos.
I’m off to finish making changes to Claiming the White Bear! I had another thought about Silver Town and had to incorporate it.
Oh, and so I was looking at plot ideas to give me a jump start to write the Wolff brother’s story, and one was: turn one of your dreams into a story. Are you kidding me????? You don’t even want to know about the bizarre dream I was having this morning.
Okay, off to edit!!!
Have a super day, and if anyone gets catty with you, sic one of the BIG cats on them.
Storm clouds are paintings in progress! Ever changing.
Okay, finished the proofing of Silver and then oops, had a thought. With the 10th Anniversary release of Destiny of the Wolf this year, I added two new characters to Silver Town. Since the original book’s release, I’ve written several books set in Silver Town and no mention of these characters, naturally, so this will give me–and readers–an opportunity to see the characters again.
Baby’s on her way. I’ll try to make those changes today on the book sometime today and otherwise, I’m off to play with a toddler.
I love to take photos but it’s fun to get prompts on what to photograph. So I joined this Facebook group to do it. But had to post a bunch of pictures to kind of catch up.
In the meantime, I finished proofreading 100 pages of Silver Town Wolves and need to finish another 140 pages. So off to do that in a minute.
I had taken the first picture at a big cat reserve in Dallas where they take in cat rescues. Though they also had a pack of Arctic wolves and bears. The second version was using Photoshop’s Curves adjustment. I like the original photo, but the Curves adjustment helps to bring the color in line with what it really looked like. Not sure what settings I had my camera on that made it look so golden. And the third picture is an “oil” version with Topaz Studio.
This is from Ashe Designs. It really worked well with some of my animal photos.
Okay, I’m off to work! And back to exercising while I proof! Have a great day!!!
It helps to have pictures when I’m writing about the wolves so I was playing around with some that I took when I went to the International Wolf Center in Minnesota. Aidan is the alpha male and lying on the rock, taking a rest from his alpha duties. Though you see he’s on top of the world, ready to take charge if he needs to. Luna was the alpha female and she has Aidan’s brother, Denali, pinned down in dominant play. Luna and Aidan are now retired and they live with Grizzle, retired before we saw the wolves, and they all live happily together out of view of the visitors.
Denali and the young Arctic wolves and Boltz are still in the public’s view.
Baby’s back today while her mom and dad celebrate their anniversary. But I’m going to start proofreading all of Silver Town Wolves: Home for the Holidays today. This morning. And once she goes home. I’m hoping to have it done by the weekend and get started on the Wolff book. I decided not to go with the idea I had. Which means, I’m looking for another winning idea. *sigh*
I’m off and running! What about you? Have any great plans for today?
