Roseate Spoonbill–Photo and Photo Art

My daughter saw what she thought was a flamingo flying over her house, but I think it was a spoonbill. They’re so pretty. This was the one at the Waco zoo.

Little one and I did laundry, pumped up the tires of the garden wagon, put the recycle stuff in the bin, put the stuff in the mulcher thingy, watered plants this morning, before we went to the pool and met up with her parents. It began pouring and they closed the pool. It’s supposed to thunderstorm later.

So that means I’m ready to begin writing about Logan Cameron and Ailith, not sure what her Scottish surname is. I was thinking they might be in competition during Highland cow shows or something. I need to do research. lol

I’m off to make lunch and get to writing. Finished reading Heart of the Highland Wolf last night.

Okay, I’m running again this morning. My daughter and granddaughter and I are going for more bark mulch, then we’ll have tilapia and avocado–good MUFAS (Monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) are a healthy type of fat. Replacing less healthy fats, such as saturated fats and trans fats, with unsaturated fats, such as MUFAs and polyunsaturated fats, may offer health benefits.)

Then I’m taking care of little one overnight. She always wants to stay and we have fun. But then we’ll get together in the morning and have lunch with her parents, and I will be free to write.

Photo Art–Eye of the Tiger

I just loved the tiger when I shot her, but the blurred wood and rock were in the way. So I added new logs, more leaves, texture background, and voila! Art!

I ran to the grocery store this morning at 7:30. I was glad to see that most everyone was wearing a mask. I also walked. It gets too hot after that.

I’m off to finish up Red Wolf marketing materials. I want to get started on Heart of the Highland Wolf novella, but have no idea what to write. lol

Blackbirds Courting–Art

The original blackbirds courting on the sparse grass next to a hotel on the boardwalk of Daytona Beach. I added 4 textures to create the artistic version.

I finished Red Wolf edits! I’ll turn the book in today.

I still need to do the marketing materials for the novel and then I’m off to the next novella. By July 1st, I need to start on Wolff Brother’s 2. The novella will be for Heart of the Highland Wolf’s 10th Anniversary release. And I need to write another. I think for Dreaming of the Wolf. I need to check and see which book came after Heart of the Highland Wolf!

Little one is coming soon, so I need to get ready!

Blue Jay and Bubbly Bokeh

The birds love the water fountain. So do the squirrels. I do too. There’s something relaxing about listening to a fountain bubbling away. Or a stream too.

I’m 100 pages into proofing Red Wolf, 145 pages to go!

We might get rain next week. I sure hope so. I was out pulling weeds this morning in the semi-dark to beat the heat, but it would help to have wetter ground to pull weeds. Do you ever notice that weeds thrive no matter if they have water or not? Maybe I should just grow weeds. They’re happy!

Come Sail Away, Come Sail Away…

Come sail away with me…

Pelican pictures I took in San Diego.

I’m sailing through edits! Yay! 10th Anniversary Wolf Fever turned in, and now working on final edits for Red Wolf and proof it one more time before I turn it in. Then I need to do the marketing materials–long synopsis.

It’s HOT and MUGGY out. I was out pulling grass and weeds and putting down bark mulch. I think cement works better. Ha-ha! Took my walk. Now it’s time to get back to the book!

Have a fun day and if it’s hot there, stay cool. But always stay SAFE. Wear masks, social distance, even with things opening up. Take care of yourself, if not your fellow man.

An Artful Goat–No Troll

I took the picture of the goat on a walk through Texas Hill Country and added the background, added the farmhouse and geese. When I posted it, another photographer asked where the troll was. See, I called him Billy Goat Gruff.

Don’t you love childhood stories? They stick with you for life. Did you ever see Willow? The trolls were bad news and reminded me of Three Billy Goats Gruff.

I told the photographer I had the picture of the troll, too. And I do. But I’ll have to find him!

Okay, so I’m off to work some more. I am now on Wolf in Mind, the novella to the 10th Anniversary release of Wolf Fever. I have 80 pages to go, finished 480!

It’s cool this morning. I should get a million things done in the yard, but I’m working on Wolf Fever, joining the kids for breakfast and then back to the book. My beta readers are about done with Red Wolf and I need to get back to it!

Don’t Let Your Dreams Get Away

I’m off and running again this morning. My daughter has off on Fridays now, working longer days the rest of the week and so we’re going to pick up more bark mulch for the gardens.

I finished proofing Seducing the Wolf and the novella last night and sent it in! Yay! And started on Wolf Fever proofing last night. I have 525 pages to go. These are fun though. It’s just really minor stuff–maybe about 6 questions for the whole mss and the rest I’m just making sure that there aren’t any major mistakes. I’ve been writing the wolf shifters for about 13 years and though people still have flip-phones, they asked if I wanted to revise that, so I have. Technology changes and then books change. lol

I had to revise an earlier book that had phones, but no internet or GPS on them. No cameras, nothing. So the phone had to be left behind when I changed it from flip to the smart phones.

After writing over 40 shifter books, I started changing how I wrote about them–about silver bullets, about being shifters instead of shape-shifters, wolves, instead werewolves. I still use shape-shifters and werewolves when it needs clarification, but it’s just something that I wanted to change so that it’s more uniform throughout the series. And that’s fun for me. Having the chance to do that! And I love the new covers!

Okay, I’m off and then working on Wolf Fever after running errands. It’s so cool this morning, I walked and pulled grass and weeds. I need to do that every morning.

I don’t usually do Black and White work because I like color, but the black and white cat against a black background made him stand out more.

Okay, I have 66 pages left to go on Seduced by the Wolf. I finished 452 pages. I’m working on proofing the new novella in the book right now: Hunting the Red Wolf. I’ll hopefully get it done today, but that al depends if little one will take a nap. She’s going back to daycare next week part-time and I’m hoping she doesn’t pick up anything to give to me. She always does.
