Baby is here again and then I have 4 days of writing. I’m hoping to get caught up. Most of the Highland Wolf books are still on sale!
I am trying to write 3,000 words a day so I can be less behind, but I need to finish edits on the novella for SEAL Wolf Team to the Rescue and turn it in too.
It turned rainy and cold so I’ve been doing a lot of weeding. The weeds outnumber the population of all the people of the earth though. I’m certain of it! And I’m pretty sure that every time I pull up five weeds, ten more are taking their place, as if I just made room for them.
Okay, I’m off to take care of baby and hope I can get some writing done on my off writing day to make up some more on my word count. I’m 10,000 behind. But that’s down from 14,000, so that’s good!
Have a great day! I was enjoying the overcast one, but I missed seeing the super moon. I hope you got a glimpse of it!

Locked in a battle of wills, caught in an attraction they can’t escape, Colleen and Grant must find a way to work together…or face losing it all. B&N
Maybe not, but I’m moving in a direction that I might need to change. Still, I have a story rolling, rolling, rolling, and I’m excited! I love it when I get an idea and can start moving to the end. I can change it. Sure I can. But I have to have something down on “paper” before I can change it.
I thought I was going to be behind yesterday on Wolff Bros story because I wrote all day on SEAL Wolf Team to the Rescue. But I must have been WAY ahead on word count, 3500 instead of 1500 because I was right where I was supposed to be. Which is good because today, I’m going to be behind. I’m concentrating on the novella because it has to be turned in sooner. I wrote 6000 words yesterday!! I hope to get 4,000 today and I’ll be close to halfway done. That’s the miracle of novellas. They don’t take as long to write.
Okay, I’m off to get going because it’s almost 8 am and I don’t even know how that happened. Do you?
“Now, Grant was warned about those American female wolves and how they seem to shake things up. That was what happened as they inevitably started falling for each other, while a sinister nemesis rears his ugly snout. I liked the suspense and mystery that was thrown in with the romance.
All in all, it was a great book. Fun and exciting to read. It had tight writing, vivid creative descriptions, a smooth flowing plot, and romance aplenty. There were also a few familiar faces as it turned out that Colleen had a good friend living nearby after all.
I can’t wait to see what’s up next from this amazing author! This book was absolutely awesome! It took me on an amazing ride from start to finish. Yet another solid entry in Terry Spear’s paranormal ‘Heart Of The Wolf’ Series. ” Debra Taylor
And from Evampire: “This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with suspense, drama, humor and romance. The author brings the story to life with well written scenes and details which inspire vivid images that capture the imagination and invite the reader to visit the highlands and tension building suspense builds throughout the story as the reader follows the headstrong couple’s stubborn dance and wait to see who wins. The strong compelling characters are easily related to and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning.
I was completely captivated by this charming story from the very beginning, there was surprising twists and dangerous elements, quite a few chuckles and of course the sexy men in kilts to keep readers entertained and as always I look forward to reading the next fascinating story by Terry Spear.

“Oh, what had she done?” He’d startled her; that was the problem. It was all his fault he was lying on the ground, looking rather cherub like, his blond hair curling about his ears, his bright blue eyes closed now, his masculine lips parted slightly as he slept the sleep of the dead. She studied his masculine lips. And thought just how much havoc she could wreak if she kissed him. Served him right for startling her so. Without analyzing whether she should do it, and just because she could, she pressed her mouth against his and gently kissed his lips, meaning only to give a quick peck and that was it…. His lips curved up under hers and for a second, she thought he was awake, smiling at her kissing him….
Oh my! One kiss that precipitates so much havoc! I loved both of these characters! Serena is an effervescent spirit who seems to have calamity for a middle name. She certainly gets in more pickles than a deli could ever serve. Niall is quite beguiled by her intrepidity and her shenanigans and just wants an antidote she has promised him to the sleeping potion. As they cavort from one misadventure to another, he becomes quite the sweetheart and her protector of sorts attempting with questionable success to keep her out of trouble. The romance is all sweet as can be and wonderfully entertaining.
Bottomline: I’m a huge fan of Terry’s books and she has never once disappointed me. THE WINGED FAE is no exception. If you love to read light-hearted, FUN tales teeming with whimsy and playfulness, THE WINGED FAE is the book for you! I can’t wait to see what Terry has in store in the next World of Fae book, THE ANCIENT FAE.
Okay, got to get ready for the signing! Have a fabulous day!!! 🙂
I don’t grow these, though they are beautiful and I wish I did! This was a Mother’s Day bouquet of roses, and every time I see this picture, the flowers long gone, I’m reminded of these beautiful flowers and how important it is to capture the memories and keep them close to our hearts forever.
Okay, okay, so I’m a romance author. What do you expect?
Orange means warmth that chases away the gray days (we have another today), and so I wanted to share another warmly orange picture of a gorgeous Texas sunset.
And that famous shot I took, not that it was famous, but for me, it was, of the supermoon while I was flying home from a conference in Colorado. This is over Texas. Again, whether it’s the moon or the sun, it’s basking in a warm orange glow. Oh, I know, scientists have all kinds of scientific terms for stuff like this, but all I care about is the warm glow. 🙂 It’s a blog about orange, after all.
Some might say this is a red bear, but she really is orange.
And well, yes, the Highlands basking in an orange wolf sort of warmth. Orange is associated with warmth and creativity, sexuality, passion, and harmony. If you wear a lot of orange, it shows you’re outgoing, busy, bright, courageous. Ironically, not really reading up on what the color meant, I have a character in Deadly Fortunes, who wears bright orange and she’s outgoing, vivacious, and lots of fun.
It’s a matter of a pride…and a matter of pleasure.
Some colors are us. Orange isn’t mine. But I still love it for fall and for Halloween. Orange is a season–a change from hot, hot, hot here in Texas, to cooler weather. So though it’s a warm color, it signals cooler weather.
She’s being pursued by everyone, in more ways than one.
Even in an exotic world of humans, jaguars, and tantalizing creatures who shift between the two, Maya Anderson stands out from the crowd. Interest from human suitors is bad enough, but when male shifters give chase, the real trouble starts.
Who’s the hunter and who’s the prey?
Investigating the black marketing trade of exotic animals keeps Wade Patterson more than busy. When he and Maya both get entangled in a steamy jungle mission, it becomes impossible to tell who is being hunted or who the hunters are. Wade is desperate to survive this deadly game of cat and mouse. But it’s Maya’s piercing eyes that keep him awake at night.
Starting tomorrow, I will be at various sites with a free giveaway for commenters all month long. The book will be Savage Hunger. I’ll post the links here when I have them.
He’s looking for her with a man’s passion but with a jaguar’s stealth.
But in celebration of receiving the 2nd book in the jaguar shifter series, I’m giving away an autographed copy of Jaguar Fever to two commenters.
Hot and sexy jaguar shifters!
So my question to you? I love research so I try to add neat tidbits that I didn’t know in the books to share with you. Have you read any of my books where you learned something and wondered if it was true? Or loved learning more?
