Way Past Time to Start the Day!!!

Sunrise, moon at sunrise, and first tomatoes from the garden!

Work is piling up, and it won’t go away….until I do something about it.

I need to make a list and then I won’t be fretting about it…so much.

  1. Write this blog.
  2. Write a blog for Fresh Fiction.
  3. Type up notes for SEAL Wolf Surrender. (yes, I often write by hand when I need to get away from the computer)
  4. Work on Jaguar edits.
  5. Pick up daughter from airport.
  6. Work some more on edits or SEAL Wolf Surrender. (I don’t want to get behind on the current story word count goals though. It’s inevitable when I have edits on another book.)

That’s it!!! Let’s see how much I get done! Have a great day!!!

Full Moon & Solar Garden Light

moon-0900-16I still want to take better pictures of the moon, but this was as good as I got last night.bird-solar-ball-900-004I accidentally used a flash on the first picture, but I hadn’t seen the crystal ball glowing, and so when I was out looking for the full moon last night, I saw the glowing solar garden ball, no moon. Not at first.

max-and-tanner-bath-tongues-out-900-004And the puppies were groomed for the party tomorrow, but now it’s pouring rain out and will be through Monday. Which means their fluffed out hair is now in curls again. 🙂  But at least they’re clean and their faces are trimmed.

I’m off to work on Flight of the White Wolf! I’m behind on word count, but hope to catch up on Sunday.

Moon on a Texas Winter's Night

Do you ever just take a moment and look at the stars in the sky? Or at the sunset? The moon? The world around us, day or night? I decided, now that I’ve moved my desk where I can see out the window, I need to have a bird feeder by the window so I can watch the antics of the birds. sunset and clouds (800x573)

My road runner continues to hop around my windowsills when I have the blinds closed. But I only rarely get a picture of him before I scare him off. 🙁 Then again, what if I had bird feed out for the little birds and the road runner wanted to eat them. Meals on wings. Not what I wanted to picture at all.

I finished tons of deadline projects, which means I have to get caught up with chores, and then, it’s back to working on Jaguar Pride. I have 29,000 done. 51,000 words to go! 🙂

If you put bird feed out for birds, what are you attracting? I’ve had hummingbird feeders before, but the problem is they attract yellow jackets and they’re already a nightmare out here, so can’t have that.

Super Moon in June

I was coming back from Colorado Springs where I attended a readers’ conference as a featured author, and one of my fans told me I had to make sure I saw the Super Moon!  Only I was flying in really late that night, in airports, had been stormy a lot–so really had my doubts…and if I was on the wrong side of the airplane, if the moon was even visible, I wouldn’t see it.

But all the stars and planets were lined up just perfectly. And there as big as day, the moon and I were suspended in the night sky together. I’m certain the lady next to me thought I was nuts as I was taking pictures. Or maybe… she wished she was sitting where I was… with a beautiful view of the super moon.

Fourteen months and it will be here again–next year in August. I have a different readers’ conference to attend. I wonder where I’ll be when the next one is visible? 🙂 I remember seeing a moon like this some years ago, and running home to get my camera, but the huge, huge moon had shrunk in size by the time I was ready to take a shot.

Sunset in Texas & the North Star and the Moon

Note there are other specks of stars surrounding the moon and North Star.  The sky is filled with stars this morning and I tried to capture them with my camera but it’s only showing blackness. But I loved seeing the Dippers in the early morning darkness. Ever go star gazing?
