Request for Another Bear, and a Review!

IMG_5905 (558x640)

Another Confetti Bear. Better picture. The sun was setting when I took the one before this. It was getting dark when I took this one, but bear shows up as more of it’s natural white color and all its lovely confetti colors.

Still had a guest blog to do, but when I got another bear order, and another chance to watch a movie???? After working on 6 guest blogs yesterday?

You guessed it! I was ready to take a break.

I also got a great review this morning for Silence of the Wolf:

5 Ribbons!

An action-packed paranormal romantic suspense, SILENCE OF THE WOLF, the thirteenth novel in award winning author Terry Spear’s HEART OF THE WOLF series, will sweep you up into the storyline right from the very first page. Tom and Elizabeth are both alphas and there is an undeniable connection between them. Before long, they are heating up the pages as danger pursues Elizabeth. Not only is her family in the area, there is also the question of four brothers who were once part of the pack until Darien killed their father. Are they the ones behind the missing livestock, or is it her uncle and half-brother? Are the brothers back for retribution, or for some other reason?

With non-stop action, thrilling suspense, danger, a beautiful setting, well-drawn characters, this story will keep readers guessing right up to the very satisfying ending. The secondary plot of the four brothers also provides additional depth and appeal to the story. Although this is the thirteenth novel in this series, it can easily be read as a standalone. Since the first time I picked up one of Ms. Spear’s books, I have been a fan. She never disappoints and keeps the adrenaline steadily climbing with each book. If you are looking for a terrific story with plenty of the paranormal, mystery, romance, humor and heat, look no further than SILENCE OF THE WOLF. A wonderfully entertaining novel! Reviews like this make me want to jump back into my writing! 🙂

But first, *sigh*, I have to do another guest blog.

Have a lovely Saturday!!!

After Writing a Book, What’s Next? Making a Bear!

Josie Confetti Bear (640x512)

Wilde & Woolly Bears

Thanks to Bonnie for her order. I only have 3 of the confetti bears left. The fabric has been discontinued at the factory, though it’s been really popular for me and it’s a shame because it’s so different, there’s nothing like it out there. It reminds me of peppermint ice cream.

When I was at an arts and crafts show one time with my bears on display, a lady asked if I used markers on her. Nope. It’s permanently dyed that way at the factory. 🙂

I had another ask if I made the bears. Yes. I did. Then she asked where I bought the bear heads. Hmmmm. I…make them.

She asked again, “No, where do you buy them?”

I…MAKE…THEM.

I don’t think she believed me. 🙂  I usually would sit and embroider paws for orders while I was at a show. So some thought that I bought the bears and “fixed” them up. This was way before build a bear existed.

Isn’t she cute?

Okay, enough goofing off. Today I have to get to all the guest blogs and interviews that have accumulated, and then???

It’s off to another book adventure.

Highlanders. Vikings. Big swords. The Viking Highland’s Lass. Are you ready???

Aye!

A SEAL Wolf for Sale is Done!!!

????

Besides getting covers, which is totally fun, writing the book is the utmost fun!!! Saying THE END after weeks, months of writing on it, brainstorming, gnashing of teeth–not mine, but the wolves, it’s finished. Not that it’s finished, finished. Like ready to be out there tomorrow for the reading public. But the story has a beginning, a middle, and an end. What more could a writer want???

So it’s off for review and I’ll have edits, but the book is done.

*Big Sigh*

Because when I’m nearing the end of a book, I have to neglect everything else. So I have the big Jaguar Hunt tour coming up for June and have had to put it on hold until I could finish this book. Now, I have a stack of interviews and blogs to do. So the work is not done. Just a different kind of work.

And I’m excited about finishing a bear for an order.

And I cleaned my house. LOL

Storms are rumbling the whole time and I keep thinking how perfectly moody it is for writing on one of my partially written vampire books. But fans are waiting for The Viking’s Highland Lass, so as soon as I catch up on the guest blogs and finish the bear, I’ll be back to the Highlanders. 🙂

Have a super lovely evening!

Time to get back to work…blogs…or the bear. Hmm, if I work on the bear, I can watch a movie…..

What would you do if you were me?

Medieval Times Dinner Theater, Schaumburg, IL

The pictures aren’t the greatest because I forgot to take my camera so I have only the phone pictures.

all knights (640x480)
The horses were beautiful. The knights weren’t bad either. 🙂

And the green knight that we thought resembled Thor. We were rooting for him because he had a really fun personality.

He was our ally, but the red and gold knight, who won, was supposed to be our guy. We still rooted a lot more for the green knight.

It’s all in the charisma, you see. 🙂

That’s me and a couple of my big cat shifters at the Medieval Times Dinner Theater. Note Maya is taking off to check out someone else to make sure they’re unarmed if they even think of getting near me. And Shannon is watching YOU. 🙂

Okay, back to SEAL. 4500 words to go. Got to finish this up!

The Snake Door Removeth

I’ve been doing some remodeling to snake proof my house. But in truth, I don’t know where the two snakes came in. And my snake guard bird–the road runner–took off, so I couldn’t rely on him to do the job.bcd78-roadrunnerheadon-339x400

*sigh*

But I finally got some things done–replaced some windows and I’m so happy with them. The winds would blow my blinds around! And no, I didn’t have my windows open for that to happen. The heat on the south side of the house would come through the windows, not noticed before, but once I moved my computer desk next to them, it was noticeable. Plus I worried about all the dust and dirt that constantly blew in from the fields surrounding me.

So, I finally ordered new windows. They are GREAT!

It’s already been in the 90’s and I only turned on a ceiling fan for a short while later yesterday afternoon, the house staying cool. If you touch the window on the outside, it’s hot, but on the inside, it’s cool. Yes!!! I feel like I’m in my castle now, with 6 foot wide walls that are keeping the cold and heat out.Dunnottar Castle entrance through narrow tunnel

My next project was to have a door removed and replace it with a wall.  The guys did an excellent job. It was the door to the outside to the laundry room, but when my parents added on to the house, another door was built that was the only one any of us used. The other had become obsolete. And I constantly had to clean up dirt and debris at the bottom of it, even though it had a storm door also. So they took care of that and now I have a wall instead of 3 doors going into the small laundry room. And no way for snakes to get in there. I also replaced the dryer vent outdoor flap. The top one had broken off, but if a snake, or two, had come in that way, they’d have had to have gone into the dryer.

Of course, I don’t really know where the snakes came in from. I only know they ended up with me in the living room.  🙂

But despite my road runner abandoning me, I’m feeling more secure. 🙂

It might be false security, but hopefully I’ve plugged up some of the bug holes also this way. You see, I’ve had a ton of flies get into the house. And hornets. And well, just about everything. I’m not leaving doors open. So hopefully, these changes will keep the bugs and critters at bay.

I’m doing my usual balancing act.

A fun show outside a restaurant at Disney World.

I have another conference to go to. I’m trying to finish up A SEAL Wolf for Sale, had a breakthrough on how to fix something that wasn’t working for me, but still have 9,000 words to go. Hope to have finished writing it by Friday. And then spend a another couple of weeks editing it.

I have another blog tour coming up, which means I have to write tons more guest blogs and I’m not ready for that again. That’s for Jaguar Hunt coming June 4.

I just received Scepter of Salvation audiobook to review, reviewed, takes at least 2 days and then sent back editing changes, narrator made the changes and then I approved it, paid her and it’s up for review. But at the same time I got the revisions back, The Winged Fae came in for review. So I’m halfway done on that one. Though I had hoped to be working strictly on A SEAL Wolf for Sale all week.

🙂

So it’s a balancing act. Which has priority? In this case, all do.

So that’s it! I’ll take pictures of the new windows when I can find a picture of the old window to show a comparison to. 🙂  I don’t think I had one of the laundry room door. *sigh* I should always take before and after pictures, reminder to self.

Off to finish up The Winged Fae, and then it’s back to A SEAL Wolf For Sale.

Have a brilliantly fun Monday. Do you ever feel things are a balancing act? I set my priorities and it all gets done. What about you?

HEA in the Equine World

Picture of the zonkey and mother are pictured here:

http://www.peoplepets.com/people/pets/article/0,,20720375,00.html

One-half donkey + one-half zebra = A HEA  and one cute little zonkey!

The story of the zonkey in Florence, Italy says, “The story of Ippo’s birth reads like the equine equivalent of a romance novel. ” ABC News

The picture of the zonkey caught my attention first, but as a writer of romance novels, the story really caught my eye. I’ve used real romances between wolves in my wolf-shifter stories. Will there be a zonkey shifter in the future? Probably not, but still, I love it.

The male zebra was rescued from a failing zoo. So you see, already you have the story: hero’s world turns upside down.

The female donkey was in the exhibit next to his. She is an endangered animal species. So our heroine is also rare and the future of her kind is uncertain.

Perfect conflict.

And they fell in love.

He actually climbed the fence between their exhibits to court her.

And baby Ippo was the result of their union.

And that’s what I love. HEA

Happy Saturday!!!

Back to writing my own!

Cougar’s Mate is up for a Vote! Jaguar Reviews!

I totally forgot about this. Cougar’s Mate is up for a vote if you have a moment and the inclination.

And I got these two great reviews for more big kitty cats!

Jaguar Fever is book two in the Heart of the Jaguar series by Terry Spear.

Connor and Kat have gone back to the jungle for a vacation. And Maya is supposed to follow one day later. Connor has left her alone for one night. So you would think she could stay out of trouble, right? Not Maya! She has discovered a bar that is frequented by shifters like herself. And she wants to meet other eligible male shifters. Also, she has been contacted by two long lost cousins so they are going to meet her there. But she didn’t anticipate the reaction she would get from the single male shifters when a new wild jaguar shifter enters the bar. And, she didn’t anticipate running into Wade Patterson.

 photo images2_zps1117caec.jpg

Wade and his brother David are going to the bar on a job. Little did he know that this would be the night Maya Anderson would walk back into his life. Its been five months since they got back from the Amazon jungle. They never really met but they knew each other’s scent. Wade had been under the impression that Maya was romantically involved with Connor, not that they were brother and sister. So once he realizes that Maya is single and available, he knows he wants her.

“I haven’t been in a good catfight in years.” Wade glanced in the rearview mirror at Maya. “But the prize this time was definitely worth fighting for.” Carol, Goodreads Addict

Savage Hunger is book one in the Heart of the Jaguar series by Terry Spear. What I love most about Terry Spear’s books is that they grab you right away and keep you invested until the very last page. And that is exactly how I feel about this book.

 photo tumblr_mals5gi18f1r93y4eo1_500_zps3761df74.gif

Imagine being a Jaguar shifter but not being able to find any others like you. Of there being no hope in sight of finding a mate, someone to share life with, have children with. This is the life Conner Anderson and his sister, Maya have been given. Abandoned by their parents long ago, they are all each other has. They stay under the radar, owning a large gardening business in Texas. But twice a year, they vacation to the Amazon to let their jaguars run free. And this is exactly what they were doing one year ago when Conner first encountered Katherine McKnight.

“He told himself it was fate that had made them cross paths, providence that had brought them together again.”

These three have quite an adventure, both dangerous and comical at times. I love that Terry Spear’s books have everything, humor, sweet romance, and plenty of gripping suspense. I plan to go directly into the next book to see what comes next.

AND!!! For Jaguar Hunt, releasing Jun 4:

RT Book Reviews: 4 1/2 star review! – http://www.rtbookreviews.com/book-review/jaguar-hunt
– “This ferocious feline novel is a passionate love story gently woven into an action-packed plot that will steal readers’ breaths away.”

Don’t you love it???

I’m back to working on going over the audiobook narration for Scepter of Salvation. 🙂
